Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I'm not to surprised at those prices, see what those SSC charity pieces go for? the thought of the shipping alone makes my butt hurt.

I just curious, how are people flatting there prints? Just bought an itoya here in canada for pretty decent price.

It's probably a combination of factors such as a very low ES (sub 300), both prints being from Artgerm, or maybe even shill bidding to inflate the market prices.

For flattening prints, I usually sandwich them between two pieces of foam core board with acid free paper protecting the prints. Then I evenly place a few books to weigh it down a bit.

I haven't tried the method of taping the protective paper covering the print to the shipping tube and gently reverse rolling it with the printed side down. I'm too chicken to even try that method.

Thanks, not sure if I have any spare foam boards laying around. is laying it face down on a table covered with a towel sandwich between to acid free paper okay? And should I place books on the corners or covering the entire surface okay? Don't want that make up pillow effect.

Got my Batman print in today #549/750. I'm glad SS uses the thick tubes and padding on the ends because my tube arrived banged to hell. Print was ok but gave me a scare at first. One of the plastic caps was missing entirely.

If you don't have any foam boards, you could use the acid free backing paper from the Itoya portfolio you bought. Just place the books on the corners and make sure the print is relatively flat. The print paper is pretty thick, so I don't think there will be any pillowing issues. Just make sure it isn't around any open vents where moisture can seep in or around a heat source, and keep the area dust free and you should be good. It just depends on how long the print was rolled. My WW print took a while to flatten out because I left it in the shipping tube for over a month.

Congrats GZL. Glad yours came in safe considering the condition that the shipping tube was in. Was it shipped through UPS?

Yeah it came UPS. I generally don't have any issues with them delivering any damaged packages, which is good considering how many the guy brings me. As long as what's inside isn't messed up its ok.
