Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Are people getting refunds or credit after contacting Sideshow or is Sideshow sending emails to everyone that bought prints?

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I passed on a few but still managed to spend $2k on these so if they're sending emails I figure I'd get one. Just didn't know if I needed to contact them first since I'm sure they're already getting blasted with calls and emails about this.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

What about some of us who got in the game a little late and had to order some of the prints through the secondary market?

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

you need to contact them to get the refund/discount.

I would strongly suggest everyone do so. Even if you're keeping them, you might as well get the 10% credit.

I imagine this will only apply to prints ordered before they changed the description.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I only ordered 4 prints, didn't go as deep as the rest of you, but I have contacted them to get a refund.

Still really disappointing that these aren't signed by the artist, still kinda flabbergasted that no one thought until recently that they might not be real.

I didn't get one so I think you have to contact them first. Makes sense too since they will be losing more money if they sent credit emails to everyone instead.

So who was the whistleblower. Who actually caught it.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Has anyone inquired if Sideshow would be willing to give a 10% credit on prints that you do not wish to return while giving a full refund on others you no longer want? Or would you have to choose one option for all of the prints you have ordered?

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Wow, I went over to SF and read how this all began. It's like an avalanche that started slowly and then built and built into a frenzy. Damn Pandora's box. Does anyone else miss the days of talking about the next print coming out, showing off ones that just arrived, or discussing the dolt who paid too much on ebay (who was probably me). I was excited to post pictures of my recently custom framed Psylocke, Daredevil, and Catwoman. They look great and better than SS's but does anyone care anymore? I'm not sure I do.

10% credit? Big whoop. I bought five prints second hand and at a premium so I'm *******d. No way I'm sending any back since I have them hanging gorgeously in my newly finished basement. It looks like an art gallery, except now every time I stare at my walls I get to remind myself that I basically have overpriced posters hanging on my walls rather than art. Sucker! Now that Sideshow is in full damage control, do you think things will ever get back to "normal" where we anxioulsy await the next set of breasts, I mean prints, coming out? Why Sideshow, why?

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

And to further add more insult to injury we have to contact them about refunds/credits when they should have record of all that. They should take the time to contact me since they had no time to make the artist hand-sign the print to ask which of the 2 options I would like to take. And what about all the 1000s of other customers who never go to forums and don't have any clue about any of this. I don't know but they need to have another much sensible approach cause it's not gaining the trust of anybody again.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

A while back I listed on the SF all the bad stuff Sideshow was doing that was putting me off many of their statues. I thought a different marketing group was responsible for some of teases and announcements that never materialized. I assumed the bad paint jobs, quality control, and iffy at times customer service was just poor management. Now I'm thinking this bad stuff might just be the company's or at least upper management's culture.

When I purchased prints I thought they were actually signed by the artists. I've never purchased prints or posters with copied artist signatures. And for the price Sideshow is charging for these prints, I would be surprised if anyone thought that they weren't signed by the artist. Remember the editions were low at first too. The simple fact is Sideshow knew if the prints said they were signed, they could charge more. This is the very definition of dishonest and deceiving business practices. The fact that they now changed the wording says it all.

The 10% Sideshow is offering is a joke. It's business as usual just like with the bad statues. Don't like it? Send it back and we'll pass it off to the next person. Or take a low credit that won't even cover various shipping costs. Collectors could easily win a class action lawsuit on this matter, unless our rights were signed away when purchasing. In the rush to order I didn't check everything on ordering day. Also, I doubt that people would pay premium prices on eBay for some of these prints with copied signatures. This is truly disgusting. No more Sideshow prints for me.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

This is all very surprising to me. I assumed they were actually signed and that was a major selling point for me. It justified the markup. Iv bought prints for years in the 20 to 50 dollar max range. Iv never cared for auto signatures and would rather have it unsigned if that's case. When I was in the military I was an aide to a very popular/powerful general and I wrote about 80 to 90 percent of his correspondence. He wouldn't even read it, would just ask me what it said. He would then say that's good enough, I'd go back to my office and use a signature stamp. I had stamps that could look like his favorite pen, an alternate color and even pencil. Most people had no clue

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I got charged for the powergirl print on the 27th, is it possible to get the 10% refund back on that?
Or was the item description changed before that?
