If they use regular white glue, I would try that first
too many things can go wrong using crazy glue or JB weld.

I'm gonna reach out to my fellow collectors once again, since i didn't get a replacement, anybody kind enough to offer me their busted body(that's not in a million pieces) so I can repair and repaint it?

What happened, did yours break and couldn't get a replacement?

A good glue for you guys to check into is called Maxi Cure. its like super glue but it comes in different grades. Some thick and some thin and dries anywhere from 10-15 seconds. Most hobby stores sell it, and they put their logo or store name on it. You can find it on ebay too.

I use this stuff to glue all my customs and kits. I would say this stuff is better then super glue cause super glue will cause a white residue cloud onto paints while this maxi sure stuff doesn't.

But dont be fooled with the stuff, its just as strong as super glue and dries fast. Stuff also works wonders for wide range of fixes for stuff. Plus you can use it for attaching parts and it can be sanded if it drips down a statue if you are working on a custom before paints applied.

It does have a strong oder to it like super glue but once dried its fine.

good info vince, but isnt 2 part epoxy much stronger than superglue? i used to use superglue but have since switched to 2 part epoxy for all repairs.

Once cured, they are able to withstand some crazy force like 30-50 lbs or something, i tried to snap the glued parts apart again on a test piece and just couldnt no matter how hard i tried, where as superglue i could easily snap it off again with a little bit of force.

Ya epoxy is stronger but can run into issues with the fumes messing up paint or if for some reasin its not attached right you wont ever rebrake ti fix it unless you strip it down and redo it.

Just a matter of preference for glueing items. I used to use epoxy when i started this hobby, but stopped since i ran into issues with the stuff.

The glue i mentioned is good too for a dab of it on a tooth pick and then setting something like a cloth to a specific spot.

Figured i throw out some info some may not know off.

Thanks for the info Vince, I need to repair my scarlet witch CQ since a piece of hair broke off. I'll shot you a PM see if my childhood Marvin the martian polystone is possible to repair.

Psylocke replacement is in and she looks great (so far). base still isn't as a smooth as rogue and gambit. Damn it would seem i've misplaced her X belt.... The god of mischief (Loki)strikes again! my cat has a bad habit of taking socks out of the hamper and bringing my hats from my main floor to bed my bed room floor. but, then again the red sash looks awesome i think now.

I was thinking it would be necessary to remove some material from one side of the break to make a shallow cavity for the glue to go so that the fit is perfect. Otherwise, the epoxy or glue would tend to alter the dimensions slightly.

Well luckily for me I still have a perfect Sideshow Psylocke,
No paint issues and looks awesome after all this time,

Yep no need to keep a problem PF just to have a complete X-men line :wink1:

i agree thats a nice piece but....1/5 scale...psh!

There are 5 things I did not like about the Comiquette which resulting in me not purchasing this...

(1) the Sheath is way too big..when has Psylocke ever used one. Should has been a kitanna instead.
(2) No psyblade or kitanna
(3) suit is way too glossy for my liking
(4) did not like the face sculpt.
(5) why is she sitting on snow with the bare butt? Makes no sense.

Cause comics are all about realism? :nana:
I personally prefer the comiquette as well, I hope to get it someday! :monkey2
