Everyone keeps referring to the Rogue problem, but no one has clearly stated what was wrong with her. Since I never had interest in her, I have no idea what problems she brought to the table that might affect this Psylocke release (or any other female releases).

Can someone elaborate for me?

Weren't there some shots from SDCC? or is it a different one?

There were some shots of the resculpted regular head, but I've read on here that both heads were resculpted, and we've never seen pics of the new EX head.

Dude check out the Rogue Pf thread for all the gory details! basically she has a horrible paint job on both headsculpts and her butt was changed from the prototype pictures.

I personally think that when Betsy here is released, the Rogue hoopla will just be an after thought.

Yea, went through as much as I personally could in that thread and saw all of the horrible paint app pics. What gets me is that I guess whatever factory in China that painted her is also painting the upcoming Joker PF, which I have on pre-order

Still, is the paint app the only worry people have with future female statues? In the Baroness thread (GI Joe - and another statue I have pre-ordered), people were again faintly referencing the possibilities of it being as bad as the Rogue statue. But if it's only for paint, shouldn't it be easy enough for Sideshow just to take them back and redo them??

it wasn't just the paint, although that was the biggest issue, they also re-sculpted her behind (read: ass) without notifying anyone
personally, I don't like her new assets, the old ones were more than fine
but that paint job was more then terrible, it was a disaster

Regardless of how she turns out I think she potential to be a sleeper hit. Alot of people will pass her up but as the X Line fills out many might go back to find her.

Frustration understood, but do you really need to dump your existing pieces? I wouldn't dump my Gambit! It's still a fine statue on its own. I want a full set of 90s X-Men, but I don't have to have them all. Maybe consider?

What if future releases turn out well? I couldn't pass up a well done Storm, Jean or Nightcrawler because I dropped the X-Men after a dud or two (although I'd be skeptical if the final statues will look like the promo pics if Psylocke does have issues). But I'm keeping what I already got.

it's the principle... it's bad enough that they messed up but their reaction to it and to us collectors is just below the belt
I'm already looking to slim down buying statues from ssc because of this and other reasons (one also being the fact that they changed those harmonize codes) and if this one, Vampirella and/or Lara Croft are bad again I don't think I'll buy anything from SSC anymore...

anyhow, just got the email that the first flex is starting on the 20th...

I have no idea if this is relevant, but I did buy the regular Rogue from sideshow. Had wanted to get th Ex, but was too late and never converted from the waitlist. Anyhow, got the statute and thought it was okay. By far the biggest problem was the eyes (pointing different directions). Although the alteration to the butt was a disappointment, it was not a deal-beaker. Anyhow, I had contacted SS about a replacement.

In the meantime, Sideshow recently "found" several EXs for sale. This was a few months after the release. I was suspicious these were simply returns, but figured if I had this statue, might as well make it the EX. So returned the regular for the EX. I was able to compare the two side by side before returning the regular. The EX looked way better, with correct eyes and a much better paint job. I don't know if it was recently produced or I simply lucked out with a "good" one. But the statue looks way better and I'm pretty happy (although I still prefer the regular head). Hopefully this trend continues...

With the shipping in 30 days announcement, I have decided that if my Psylocke EX comes out horrible, I am done with Sideshow until they show that they can improve their QC. I will even cancel my Colossus EX and Predator EX comiquette eat the $70 NRD.

It is a tough decision because I have collected them since they started the Marvel PF line, but I just can't continue to financially support a company that consistently releases subpar products while increasing price.

Besides Jean Grey or Phoenix, I hope SSC wouldn't mess this Pyslock up. Tisk Tisk SSC. Cause there's not alot of female chars I would want.
