After taking another look, I am very satisfied with everything and the paint issue isnt even all that bad, I'm more afraid that the crack will peal off a year from now like someone else said which happened on his panther pf.

Also the pictures you guys see in this thread really don't convey the beauty of this piece. It's a really lovely PF which has a lot of grace and power in the stance. The cloth doesn't really show off as well in the photos.

we have received enough statues from all around the globe to be content with this one... she had to much problems on her that weren't from shipping (apart from the beat up box again)

what?

Things travel the world every day and make it to their destinations without damage every day. If Sideshow is willing to ship overseas, I am sure they have some expectation that the items will arrive without damage or it would just be stupid to send them.

Things travel the world every day and make it to their destinations without damage every day. If Sideshow is willing to ship overseas, I am sure they have some expectation that the items will arrive without damage or it would just be stupid to send them.

most things have more outer protection than just a brown shipper & a prayer lol

That is just terrible logic
I guess Sideshow should stop shipping international since every package will likely be damaged.

But the damage risk is greater the farther the box has to go. The brown shipper can only take so much stress, wear & tear

The brown shipper doesn't even do anything for the piece inside, just protects the artbox. It all depends on how it's handled & how well it was packed inside the styro.

jesus christ did you get her from sideshow directly or a reseller? if this is a new statue, customs must opened her up and played with it. No way it would passed sideshow QC all jokes aside.

Got my EX through the week, checked today and have the dreaded hair line paint cracks/peeling on the right leg so many others are suffering from... after the fiasco of she who will not be named this is bitterly disappointing

I hope this paint cracking/peeling isn't systemic in this piece and eventually taints most if not all of them... I hope

jesus christ did you get her from sideshow directly or a reseller? if this is a new statue, customs must opened her up and played with it. No way it would passed sideshow QC all jokes aside.

it's extremely rare these days that we don't get a damaged piece from SSC and since they don't open SSC boxes (100% sure about that one) it's quite obvious that their so called Quality Control is a lot of bull_____

Rogue was also 'approved' remember, while she shouldn't have been... I mean with her, besides the crappy ass paint and stuff, we also got a damaged base (quite a large chip in the lacquer)
We received a replacement (!) of the original Lara Croft PF with missing hair strands that weren't in the box at all so she also was shipped that way.
The original Lara we received had glue spots all over and scratches on her legs and I don't even remember the rest of it

it's true that most of our statues arrive with beat up boxes and as long as SSC doesn't do anything about it, I'm asking refunds for that.
Why can't SSC make the brown shippers a little bit bigger and but styro corners between the shipper and the art box? That would also narrow down the breakages due to shipping...
