Sent mine back today for a refund. No dis to anyone loving/keeping theirs but I'm not going to support (what I consider to be) subpar products anymore. We pay too much for these to accept "not too bad's" :lecture

Yes I emailed about the holes. But no response yet. Funny I got a response for storm but not on rhino. I sent both emails at the same time. My storm was no big issue just the cape had paint on it I could not get off.

Honestly, I would do the same thing. SSC just cut too many corners with this piece. I would be way too worried that there would be more issues that could develop over time. I will be keeping a close eye on the weight for these larger pieces. There is no way I'm spending the kind of money SSC is asking for on these larger pieces and they weigh just 20 lbs. They need to weigh at least 30 lbs IMHO. Can you imagine how much better Rhino could be with another 10 lbs of material added to it? It certainly wouldn't be as eggshell thin as it is and probably wouldn't suffer from the cracking issues we are seeing.

I don't need my statues to be solid, but I do need them to be well made. The Hulk Com is a great example of a statue with hollow parts. It weighs over 30 lbs and just feels like a quality piece. I don't worry about cracks developing or other issues popping up over time.

Well said I can live with the statue but I can't live with rhinos base. The sides of his base seems to be painted by a kid. The paint looks very rubbery cheaply put on. The weight of the base is just like a piece of painted foam. The hollow statue I can try to live with. The base :slap uh no I hate the way it was made. I too will keep a close eye on my 450.00 eggshell rhino to look for future issues. Now the test begins with summer and winter days to see if there's any effect on the thin material.

Only when you see it in person do you realize the barrier to purchase and ship there would have been had it not been made as light weight as it was. It was a good choice.

Still waiting to see mine in the flesh (hide?). Just hope It does not have screw-ups/issues, & I miss the boat for replacement parts, as this beast is a must for the Spidey com line/series.

Maybe not the best choice. I suspect there are quite a few people with problems on and off this forum with this statue, even if it's not the norm. This would have been a hit had it been heavier/thicker. Curious how long it will take for people to get replacements.

All depends on how you define a hit. Rhino is sold out. Is massive, & fits the line scale wise prefectly. Details look to be fantastic. Pose is great. Portraits are excellent. Paint apps seem to be sound. Besides, I don't foresee SS releasing another Rhino, in this scale, anytime soon. So it's a question of jumping in as soon as possible, or risking missing out. But yes, structurally, SS should have taken better care. Now for the nervous wait.:slap

It is a hit. A few people who are complaining about weight and never seen it in person or a few with some cracks is not indicative of the general consensus.

Everything you've mentioned would have made it a hit barring QC issues. I'll keep mine and if at some point I need to fix it so be it...

Yes and yes. And compared to previous Sideshow purchases.

I really appreciate your honesty Pork Chop. Too many collectors feel the need to pump a piece up if they ordered it and defend it to the end regardless of issues it might have. It's fine to say you like a piece while pointing out things you wish were different/better. It makes it so much easier for those that are contemplating purchasing this piece to make an informed decision. Kudos Bro. :clap
