Well,its almost imposible to see a rhino pf,because rhino its obviosly better in Cq ,Like venom or carnage

Your list and mine are similar. I want the droid set and Hulk which should be up for PO this year but if they are too much I'll pass. Plus Batman and Deadpool which are probably going up this year, likely at the "normal" PF price. We've seen them so I'm sure I'll order. And SS said Wonder Woman will be up by the end of the year. But you make sense and this Rhino is awsome. Gonna be an expensive 2013.

Good call on Deadpool, def a great sculpt. He is on my list but up there. Hulk is also another fine choice but cost may stop me too we will see. I also have thought about Green Lantern which I think could be an amazing PF if it's NOT the RR movie version. Latern could be either very good or very bad. Def many tough calls for us coming up.

Man, the more I review this statue, the better it gets! Not a single thing wrong with it. Size, proportions, pose, detail are all fantastic. Hoping the factories don't cheat on paint apps, such as those beautifully shaded nails & toes, the subtle wrinkles & creases in the face, & of course the overall shading of that massive, hulking, charging body. A fine start to a new year this will surely bring. .........but would have preferred a much sooner delivery date.

P.S. Now Sideshow better not F-up this Spidey/villian line with inferior sculpts/artists, or the dreaded mixed media. Just keep it consistent Sideshow, & finish what you started!!!!!

All the 1/4 Spider-Man comiquettes have came out excellent, i don't have any worries for this

Really? The spiderman CQ has lots of paint problem, I did my replacement three time!!!!

I think he more so means the overall design of the statue line has been spot on.

Unfortuantely paint apps seem to be an ongoing issue with SSC for various statue lines and it seems like us collectors have two phases of concern when ordering a statue:

1. Does the statue design properly reflect the character?
2. Will the paint apps match the prototype and compliment the statue? or hurt it?

(beyond all the other obvious concerns of price, what is coming out later ect...)

...that said I PO'ed an EX day 1 ...

I had to go through 3 spiderman's before finding a decent one. I don't think we'll have the same issue with rhino as it is a less intricate piece...but then again, look at ultron...

That's my main concern regarding the release of this piece. The paint shading & all the intricate stuff might get lost. Like how Ultron was suppose to have varying colors but came out with just one shade of paint.

WOW, great wip pics!!! Was never on the fence, but amazed some still are. And to some who thought head & neck were too small(?) The lesson here is, don't ever dismiss a master sculptor's work prematurely, EVER!

Thanks for the info darren1228.

Though I grew up only knowing the ex head version as Rhino, with all the wip pics & others, I am really diggin the reg. version way more! The facial details seem much more intricate & refined, conveying a meaner, snarling, nastier, more dangerous version of this character. Even the ears have grown on me, giving the sculpt a more realistic look, depicting a man who is actually draped in a real rhino skin. Ex. or not, this is the only way I would display this masterwork.

I had a replacement too, but overall no issues aside from painting within the lines & rhino doesn't have much of that issue

The texture on Rhino's suit is simplay amazing. So much detail in it. Can't wait to get this bad boy next year
