it must have been in the wording because i was under the impression that this trooper would be "in hand" shortly.

I made the same mistake when I first read the announcement in the newsletter. After I re-read it...I realized that it was a pre-order and not in stock on the 9th.

Got mine yesterday. UPS didn't get here till late so no pics or anything and probably won't do anything with it till Monday. Then I'll have my usual pics and review up

Some pics from 2 Rebelscum members - I think no weathering would have been much better:

I think it adds character. These guys are supposed to be former Republic Commandos so they'd see a bit of action anyway. Shame that his breast plate needs a boil 'n dip though. After the 3 Sandies, the Stormtrooper and the Commander, you think SSC would've fixed that by now. :(

Still I don't like the way they considered weathering for this guy. Stormtroopers are almost clean, this one looks like he participated in a pie fight with orange, gray and blue paint all over him:

As is often the case, it may just be the pic that's making him look that awkward. I agree though that in the pic, the brown spots make it kinda looks like he was freckled by a Bantha toot. Mine arrives Monday so I'll get a better idea of how he really looks.

I don't care for this figure but I've seen it in person, the weathering isn't that bad. Adds to it actually, more subtle in person.
