First off, the neck is too skinny. Additionally, in the lycra shirt, the shoulders'll look like ass, and the abdominal design will give him a pooch. For $2 more, I'd just pick up a narrow shouldered TT if you can't find an ST1 body.
Oh wow. Dope. I was just wondering what it looked like. I was going to take one of those nudes and color the body black on photo shop. Wanted to see a futzed picture. Thanks for the insight.
Inspired by Evilface's mod, I gave my Snakes bare fists, too. I also added T-800's bag that I had lying around as a nod to the original 1982 Snakes who came with the explosives bag.

Better late than never man. Mine's still boxed up while I search for a sweater for him.
After reading through the original 1983 comics I'm really REALLY hoping we get a goggled SE from SSC. They said in a previous Q&A that they'd be releasing multiple versions of certain characters, hopefully SE is one of them.
After Cobra Commander and the troopers, this is the next logical choice for re-release with a different outfit.
I just pray they didn't have mohawk Zartan in mind when they said this

No doubt Snake Eyes will get a goggled version. The only question is who will get a new figure first, SE or Cobra Commander...
Cobra Commander is in more need of the re-release. The helmeted version is far more iconic than the hooded one, IMO, and more essential for a Joe collection than goggled Snake Eyes. However, Sideshow may decide to put him out later, building up interest along the way. I wouldn't have issue with that, as long as we eventually get him.

While I'm all for that, I hope it's only as event exclusives and not standard releases. I'd hate to see every other release being a remake. Even if it's just variants of the Cobra Trooper, that'd get old, really fast.

They should have just put a second head in the Cobra Commander package like they did for Storm Shadow.
I may have agreed with this initially, but at this point, I disagree. Of course the most likely primary reason they didn't do this is that it makes more sense from a business perspective to milk the fans. And the fans will pay for a helmeted CC, even if they already have the hooded version. If they released the helmeted version first, I can't say how many people would also buy the hooded version. I probably wouldn't. The helmeted version is essential, and Sideshow knows this.
But even from the fans' perspective, this could also be a good thing. As Sideshow has more experience with Joe heads, outfits, and accessories (as well as with the Prometheus body), I suspect a Cobra Commander 1 1/2, 2 years from now will come with a number of improvements over the previous version. I don't know what these might be, but I look forward to seeing them, and will probably appreciate them having waited to give us the best version of the most important version of Cobra Commander that we could get.

Agreed, I'd hate to have something similar to Crimson CC, which is only a color change to the outfit with a cape added.

Here are a few pics of a very early WIP Snake Eyes to go side by side with the Sideshow version. I have to attach the head to the neck post better as if falls off easily. I have tinted goggles that I need to paint black and I need to find a good Baklava. I bought one off of ebay but it is pretty sucky so I don't have any pictures of that. I like the head but I was hoping the "soot" would wipe off easily without ruining the paint. I don't think it will but I actually don't mind it the way it is. I also would like to add some scars eventually. The weapons are being borrowed from the SS version for now. I need to retie and trim the boot laces as they are out of control.
Sorry bub but I dont like it. He look like a piss off 3rd grade gym teacher with a gun and big ole shoe laces
