^ I was presupposing the Prometheus never existed.

We are all paying for , right now, the cost of producing the Prometheus.

You can still find loose Prometheus bodies at dealer shops loose. Finding True Types isn't impossible, but they are considerably more desirable across the board.

It's too late now, but I do think "leasing" the True Type would have been much more versatile for collectors in general. It might not have worked the best with Snake Eyes ( as he had a body suit) but most other GI Joe figures could have benefited.

Something to consider is people are already paying 30 extra to change out the Prometheus with a True Type. SST can operate under economies of scale to drive down the price of a staple in their sets, individual collectors can't do that.

Again, though, you're ignoring the cost. And in the end result, it's cheaper for Sideshow to create their own body (which I'm certain has paid for itself by now), vs. having to pay licensing fees to continually utilize another company's product. The higher price on these figures, IMO, stems from the sheer amount of accessories Sideshow's been packing them with, from extra headsculpts, to firearms, mags, etc., and not the Pro. Fees which are subsequently passed on to the customer and licensing the TT from HT would only increase the MSRP of every release. Besides, like HT's TT which didn't start out perfect to begin with either, I think we'll see better upgrades to the Pro with each continual release.

SS looks absurd on the TT. It's inhuman shoulders and the gaps between the arms and body were compounded by the shirt SS came with (remember, he was released before the newer TTs). If given a choice between the TT and the Pro, I know I'd have picked the Pro.

It's the shirt too. I wish they tailored it a little better to allow more movement. Having either body wear the shirt gives off the appearance of a Snake Eyes with a mound for a neck.

The pro with the rest of the line looks fine. The overall design of Snake Eyes was well done, accessories and all, but I wish they chose a better body, aesthetically pleasing, JUST FOR Snake eyes like how they did with Vader.

Agreed. That's why it took literally months, with several of us trying new bodies to figure out which body could pull it off the best. IMO, which is shared by the majority, the ST-1 does this in spades, giving plenty of definition to the physique beneath the shirt, while still keeping Snake Eyes in scale with the Pro he was released on which further keeps him in scale with the line as a whole.

I hope this end up being true. It would definitely save me money on swapping to TT bodies. Time will tell I suppose, since Duke and Firefly are supposed to be on the newer Pros (hopefully the only change isn't just that they are taller than the normal Pro).

Well, the completely redesigned mid-section will prevent that weird slouch the bodies have and the broader shoulders fix that problem. Aesthetically, the sculpted forearms are nice as well, so I'd say they're well on their way.

Decided in the end to give the Wesker TT to Snakes. I'll pick up another for Storm Shadow in the future. Sorry for the crappy pics, I'm taking them during commercials for the game

Nicely done. Me likey how your SE looks. Wesker is the "best" for SE IMHO (I swapped mine to the body a while back).

That looks cool, you read my mind. I had been thinking of getting Krausser just to give SE some of his gear. Im glad to see that it wont be a wasted purchase. One question, did you cut the forearms down? They seem shorter. I have the same gloves on SE, but yours seem shorter than mine. Or is it the angle you took the picture?

Only problem is Krauser's vest is purely aesthetic. You won't be able to put the mags in as the pouches were never designed to be opened. I own both Krauser and SE, and I prefer SE's.
