The Snowtrooper Commander helmet should be white.

DL-44 sidearm and clean/not-weathered appearance. Accurate to me.

There's some weathering on the DL44 in one of the detail shots on Sideshow's site.

I meant the DL-44 is the correct sidearm and the Commander's armor/appearance as clean/not-weathered is also right.

Not sure if I'll get this though. My focus are OT Imperials, but seeing the HT version (even if not made yet) doesn't encourage me to buy this one

I really want this Hot Toy version.

I held off on the single Snowtrooper hoping for a 2 pack with this.

Maybe a few years down the line it will happen.

I cannot justify buying the Sideshow version for £200+ with this superior version teased.

Would be amusing if Sideshow and Hot Toys both had their Commanders at SDCC. Either way, I sure hope the HT version doesn't get ****canned because of Sideshow. It's hard to decide if I want to get Sideshow's for fear of HT never releasing their version, or just wait even longer.

Yeah, this is certainly an interesting move from SS releasing this guy now, just when HT released theirs. Can't understand why you would do that. Anyone still keen for a Snowtrooper will have gotten the HT version. Guess they are planning to try and get fence sitters or hard core SS fans who want the "Commander" with his Moon -Boots. He does have a nice pistol though.

I actually like what I see overall. Still not as good as the HT, but improved from what we saw at Celebration. With Sideshow officially releasing theirs, I don't think HT will do theirs for a while now. I could be wrong though. I'll have to think about this one, but I'm interested so far.

It's more a companion piece than competition to the regular Snowtroopers, so I'd say it's the perfect time to release it actually.

I can see HT waiting for Sideshow's commander to be on the market for a few months before they release theirs. Maybe a 2019 release if we're lucky. Anyway, i can't see them can their prototype indefinitely. Especially since it's a trooper and they already have the grunt available.
