Yeah, it's the truly sad reality - even if a Hoth Rebel or an Ackbar shows up from Sideshow, it'll be $250. I guess if they do a new Greedo for $250 (almost three times the cost of the old SSC one) you can at least call him an "iconic character" or something. Who the hell would have ever thought those characters would be $250?

You have to use every trick. I couldn't afford Dengar at $240 so made one, used a $50 coupon on Leia Hoth, dumb luck got me 4-LOM for crazy cheap, and I'm hoping to grab Zuckuss with $65 in RP once Leia ships just to get it down to the $160 level, but this is becoming such a juggling act just trying to keep up - either pay up now or it might be double on eBay in a year or so. No idea yet what I'm going to do to bring Palps and Emp Guard down from that $500+. Those standard $25 SSC coupons aren't enough to tempt me anymore.

I guess I'm old fashioned thinking figs like the Snowie Commander really should be no more than $160 (especially given the reused parts.) I struggle to see $210 - and all the way up to nose-bleed $270 (still can't believe Luke Snowsp sold out at nearly $300) - in so many of these figures.

I really dig the AT-AT Driver and Commander together. Nicely done duo of secondary troopers. I think the quality of the driver elevates the Commander a bit. As they share parts like the boots and generally look in scale with each other it really does make the commander a nicer figure than it is alone.

I don't like those clinical displays. I have a lot of unused shelves in other rooms, plus empty shelves in this one, but I prefer crowd scenes. I swap figures round and it's like enjoying them from fresh again.

The Snowtrooper Commander's word for today is: Boss.

The AT AT driver is a really bad *** looking figure. Makes me think about trying to find one.

It's a pretty solid fig overall even if it is fairly simple. The only things that bug me is the helmet flange is noticeably too thick and the hands are goofy-big - hand, gauntlet and armor piece all seem 20% too large, but all the recent SSC trooper gloves have been like this, as was the old Snowie.

The holster wasn't very well done and hangs way too high but that's not a biggie. And as someone said, a high gloss on the armor would have been a good idea - it's high gloss on the HT version of this fig.

The thickness of the flaring on the helmet bugs me too. He also appears to have a bit of an egghead. The top part of the helmet above the eyeline seems too rounded to my eye, especially next to the HT Snowie.

Overall happy with it but missing the good old clone trooper days of a large variety of hand options, he could really use some signal hands.

Yeah, maybe if I get it (not 100% decided if i will buy it yet), I'll use hair dryer to close the armor laterals to the body, as well as to try to tighten the straps

If its like the SSC snowie, you can't adjust it with a hair dryer. I tried on the snowie. maybe this one is a different material. It certainly isn't as glossy this time around.

Got mine yesterday, and looks decent once you futz with the outfit. Seems to be on a new body *new to me, anyways* with this one - tad different than the tie pilot and at-at driver base body.

Officially cancelled my BBTS order. I don't particularly like the way this turned out. Have to pray that HT makes it out. Or maybe I would pick this up if it gets to around $160 on eBay. I got a second AT AT pilot for about that price.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I was looking at ordering this, but from the price point SS should have done better..... Much better. Hopefully HT will make theirs. If not I'll wait on this and pick it up cheaper at a later date.

Overall, its a decent figure. May eventually pad him out to fill out the skinny legs and arms. May add slight weathering as he is WHITE!!! Tailoring is ok on this one - kinda like the outfit was intended for a different body and they changed it to this one. No clue

Not their best effort but not horrible by any means.

Commander is supposed to be super white though.
