I take it back...with some effort...I got the arms to cross over....

Wait a minute....aside from my previous review....so I'm comparing the HT and SS troopers....and I just noticed. Maybe this has been discussed before....but look at the shoulder plates...on the HT (and the original SS snowy) the 7 raised blocks are on the bottom of the shoulder pad. On the SS ATAT Driver and Commander they are on the top of the pad. Can someone confirm is this accurate??

Looking at scenes from Empire online, it seems that it is correct and the Snowtrooper Commander and AT-AT driver have them on the top and regular snowtroopers have them on the bottom.

Just digging around on line...I see that too. Interesting.

Thanks for the reply.

I just got the commander open and honestly...I'm underwhelmed. Sideshow could have done a little better w this one.

Pros...overall a good shelf presence.
Guns have good detail.

Cons: I'm usually pretty satisfied with SS armored guys...but here we go....

The armor is all very flat. I was expecting a glossy finish...but no, it's all very flat. It makes the base flat plastic look a little cheap.

The body is a little loose.

The gloves are a bit rough and the gun holding hand is so big...it dosent close around the blaster.

The holster is a very soft, thin material. A little worried about long term durability.

Chest armor dosent sit too flat on the chest and I did try futzing with it.

Can't have him hold the blaster two handed because the chest armor won't allow the arms to cross.

On mine at least, there were three black dots they covered up with touch up paint on the side of his helmet.

On the whole, I would say I'm a little disappointed...I'd give a B-/C+

doubt Hot Toys will make this one...so if you want him...better get him...

No offense to anyone that bought this but this figure looks like a turd. Everything about it seems cheap looking to me.

Good look at the figure Vonhahn, thanks. The pics seem to support your opinions of the figure. The helmet still looks off to me too, but not as bad as before.

Probably have to pass(sigh). My Snowtrooper company will remain rudderless. Left to their own device who knows what sort of atrocities they will commit? :dunno

don't forget bossk V2 which is sold out and not even on the wait list any more on there site. I got lucky enough and I got one.

That's actually a good example of the "in-between" I think. It has a great new sculpt but then gets hurt by greenish paint color and faded flightsuit color. Its pros get nulled by its cons... so in-between.

Lol.🤣😃😄😅😆

Just for the record....i dont hate this figure. It just could have been better and i wish SS would be consistant in stepping up thier game. Just a good gloss on the armor would have helped. Reminded me of SS very first stormtrooper for those who remember that one....
