Congrats Ski you are one lucky and im sure happy member. I have made my decision to have my first piece I bough which was my Kraven's Last Hunt Dio signed since I do not currently own a Comiquette right now. I will be taking some of the comiquette's thunder though and get the back of the grave signed since it appears to be big enough. I cant wait to make it happen!

Man, that's awsome! Congrats! :clap

That's what we would all be like on here though. Thats one of the cool things about being part of this forum. You can express how happy you about something like what you just did & people on here will understand how cool it is. Like if I said to my friends how exciting I am about finaly being able to get a grail piece they would just laugh at me, so I don't ever bother telling them or maybe that's just what it's like for me :( ha

Congrats again Ski :)

:1-1:

No your not the only one Bull my friends and family are the same way. I would have to say my lady is the only one who would truly appreciate that signature and the hobby of collecting. She was actually the one who looked into the next Austin TX Comic Con and found that Stan Lee will be there as well. Cant wait to see him and get one of my pieces signed

It's amazing to have a lady that understands and supports your interests. Congrats!

CONGRATS SKI! I'm so glad you went through with it. I know just how happy you are Bro. I had the EXACT same feeling when I met Stan and he signed my Com. It's so great to know that someone else understands that moment as well. I felt like a damn little kid all over again. You will enjoy this for a long time. I still smile when I look at the sig on my Com.

It's really surreal, I was standing in line with one of my best friends... And we were just like moments away from meeting Stan and we were thinking and saying "this is really going to happen"...:lol Sorry for the sob :rotfl, I know it's silly but its something that I'd always dreamt of since reading the comics even as a child.

Its something I put off because of travel distance and this is the first major Con here in my area! I'm glad I can cross it off my bucket list before it was too late. :monkey2

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Congrats Dave! I know what you mean.. I don't get into fanboy mode, but when I went to see Stan in New York, I was as off-the-chain excited. There's no human on this planet who has affected me more with their creations (shared creations), and he is just such a fun guy. And his voice is just so rich and charismatic and the stories he tells are great. Glad you got the chance to meet him.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Congrats Ski, even though you are usually a jerk to me!

I know the joy you are feeling as Barbarian and I experienced the same thing with Stan and our Spidey Coms a couple years ago.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Stan lee will be here next month. Can't wait... Think about getting my Spidey com & Hulk PF base signed...

1) If you think I'm a jerk, you take me way too seriously, that's all that is.

Thanks,

Ski

Do it VS! It's the best $100 you'll ever spend. It's a surreal moment that you have to experience to understand. It's just hard to put into words.

LOL! I was in the same boat. I had my Spidey Com, Iron Man Com, and Hulk Com signed along with 5 BD statues as well. Broke it up over 2 days and got it all done. Where there is a will, there is a way. You'll figure it out. Going with a friend really helps.

Did you use a suitcase or u carried the pieces in boxes?

Yes, I did use a suitcase. Rolled it in, took out the base I needed just before my turn in line came up. Had Stan sign, put it back in the suitcase. I had a VIP pass so the wait in line was short and I jumped in the VIP line for every piece I had signed. If you don't have one...it can be a long day. However, if you are only going to get 1 or 2 things signed, it's not worth paying for the VIP pass. Just bear with the line and drop both bases on him & get them signed at the same time. I think the VIP pass cost me $275. It does include a ticket to get 1 item signed by Stan, a photo op with Stan, and entance to a panel he speaks at along with a 4 day pass to the Con.

That's pretty much it bro. I hope you go & enjoy it as much as I did.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Congrats, Ski. Unfortunately his sig will not likely grace my Spider-Man Comiquette as the closest he'll come to me is Philadelphia, which is over 4hrs away.
