Had to cancel my EX. Times are just too tough, and to close to xmas for this one. I know im gona regret it, just got no choice right now.

Ex is just a print, anyway. I'm buying the regular through an outside retailer to save a few bucks. That also reduces the chances of my receiving a special "Sidehsow Exclusive" like some Hulk collectors did

Brave man. This Ex will be my one and only Spidey statue. I think its worthy.

If it had a single switch-out part, I would have gone with the Ex. Still risky buying outside Sideshow since their statues are so prone to having issues and you might not be able to get a replacement buying elsewhere. But still. . .I'm saving a fair chunk of change this way. Hopefully BBTS will get the "2nd batch" that is relatively free of issues

Same here. Iv been waiting for the right spidey statue. I try to keep only one solid depiction of a character.

Who is your favorite character? Is it Cyclops? Can you do that with your faves too?

Yeah, im a cyclops guy, i always related with the leadership pressure and he always has a hottie.

Its a crazy rule but it helps me stay selective. It started with the CS Moore Magdalena, I realized I didnt want any other depictions. If I pick up a new version I sell the old one. It actually takes a lot of discipline and patience. Truth is, there are so many good characters that havent been done right.

I completely agree with your great points, especially there being a lack of definitive great sculpts of great characters. But, when it comes to my absolute favorite characters, I want the pieces I perceive as being the very best of the best. This often times forces me to own a couple to a few of the same character. Conan comes to mind. I own 5, out of the hundreds made, that I see as being excellent representations of the character. Clay Moore is that man, so I have the two he sculpted, and 3 others, including The Prize. If another came out that I loved, I'd get it without doubt. Interesting you should mention Magdalena, because I am pretty stoked that Clay will be taking a crack at her with his own masterful hands!

Okay, sorry. Back to Spideyrama 2010!!!

Great points you make. I guess I havent truly been challenged yet. For the majority of characters I really like alot, there is no solid interpretation. Cyclops, Superman, Green Lantern, Rogue, Catwoman. Your fortunate there is a wealth of great Conan's out there. I am very interested to see how the new Magdalena turns out. Clay is the man, I own a few samples and was fortunate to attend his gallery opening.

Right on!!! Back to Spideyrama!!! I still hold this will be a solid one to own

Thats a great group to own. My little sister is actually my "Collection Manager" She's the one who develops my strategy and gives the buy or pass on anything im interested. She brings the level headed common sense approach I lack.

I'm trying to do the same thing and get only one statue of each character. I think kinky queen does the same to.
