Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

Skiman only collects exclusives. That's why he's gonna throw his regular :)monkey4:monkey4:monkey4) green hulk PF in the garbage.

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

yep this hobby is like meth man, just can't stop. or at least that's what i hear :monkey3

i predict a whole lot of these will get converted to different costumes.

I found that if you crush up the polystone and inject it directly into your veins the high lasts a litttttle bit longer.....

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

It is insane how the bug gets you. I bought the Punisher Comi knowing I was getting the HULK. HULK comes and I get my room all set up with my new piece and I can't stop thinking "Man, Spidey sure would look good here also." Just can't get it out of my brain.

At one point I just wanted film related statues in my room. It's one of the reasons I sold off my PF Hulk (besides funds). Then the AWSOME Hulk Comi comes out and I say "screw it" to the film only idea. Well I might as well pick up a Punisher Comi then right?? And so I do... Now I want Spidey.

Only problem is - I am running out of space:violin. I am trying to sell off the last two statues I am willing to part with so to make some space. I have a JAWS/Bruce NTT on the way which leaves me room for one more piece. Spidey or Jason part 3 PF. What to do???? If I get a Spidey Comi then half of my room is comic based with Punisher, and Hulk. The other half would be filmed based with JAWS NTT, Conan the Barbarian, and the Raiders Indiana Jones:clap. If I get a Jason then it would throw everything off. I could get both but then the room starts to get crowded and I hate that.

Not to mention there is a T1 PF being made. That could trump Spidey and Jason. And if they ever make a C-3PO and R2-D2 1/4 statues, I will have to MAKE room. What to do, what to do:gah:

I HATE this........... BUT I LOVE IT!!!!
:lol:rotfl:lol Try to get a hold, brother! You're freakin' out! You're among friends. Everything is coooool. Breeeeeathe.
nope and nope, i don't think he ordered one. but I did.:yess:
oh man there's so much win north of the border right now.:monkey3
Me too! HELLS YEAH!!! :rock
I found that if you crush up the polystone and inject it directly into your veins the high lasts a litttttle bit longer.....

:lol I hear you man. I've been collecting for about 3 years now - mostly LOTR since I loved those movies and some Marvel Thor PF and my first EX, the Cap PF EX - you always remember your first. :love Then once the X-Men PF started, things have gotten out of hand. Now my room is mostly Marvel and I admit that sometimes it seems like it is getting out of hand, but then I look at the Hulk comiquette or Carnage comiquette, etc and think if this is bad, then why does it feel so good? Or maybe that is what I thought with the hooker I picked up the other night? :dunno:dunno

I keed! I keed! Welcome to the insanity and know that you are among friends here. :hi5:

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

Hulk is my first EX! :rock

Edit. The stealth IM comiquette I bought is an EX apparently according to the box :lol

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

My addiction started with the purchase of PZ EX about 6-8 months ago. Then I went to a local hobby shop and saw Venom Comiquette and got hooked on the Marvel pieces. So far the damage is 10 and counting!

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

I started collecting when a saw the Bowen Retro Green Hulk in May at the beginning of this year. Since then i have been destroying my credit cart every month. December is the first month that i am breathing as i have no more old pieces to get.

Since i started i got so many pieces. Around 35!

Congrats on such an agressive start! I started collecting SS statues with the original lotr line about 7-8 years ago. I never stopped. Its certainly an addiction and one I love. No need to rush. No matter how much I spend there is always "One" I feel I am missing or one I feel would be a great addition.

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

I have been collecting one thing or another for years. Not counting DVDs or Blu rays. First it was Star Wars action figures. Then Godzilla items (still pick these things up from time to time) then it was NECA and McFarlane figures. Then came the ALIEN busts from palisades and then finally there came my first Sideshow purchase. The PF Darth Vader and it was all over for me. But I have been pretty good about not letting it get too out of control. I try and sell something if something new that I love comes out. Problem now is, after I sell these last two statues, I have nothing else to sell off. I have one item already on the way so that leaves me only enough space for one more item....maaaaaaaybe two more. But again the room starts to get cluttered. I know I can do the whole store and rotate thing but I told my wife I would not spend all our money on my addiction.

However I can say this. It has been a blast getting to this point!!!

Me too i am selling my old statue that the value went up then buy the new stuff that i really like. I sold most of my Star wars figures, Transformers (i made good money on this transformers), Gentle Giant star wars mini bust, Diamond select statue, Motu He-Man Statue and DC direct statue. My main collection now is Bowen, Sideshow (Marvel/Predator/Aliens and i got Hell Boy PF), and still have Gentle Giant/Attakus Star Wars Statue the one that i really want to keep. O forgot to mention Hot Toys Iron Man, M. Jackson and Terminator Figures.

Good to hear your story. Do not listen to all these old collectors who try to make you feel bad. Biggest decision for collections as they get bigger is to choose what to keep to stop the collection from looking like a garbage dump so keep what you love and trim the fat. As a collector who has been collecting Sideshow since the company started, I have maintained a positive income from this hobby and kept what I liked. Trust your taste.

Thanks my friend Ricard.

A very wise strategy from a real veteran who respects new collectors.
