That's just internet talk, if you were to brag about these lame ex prints at an actual con or lcs no one would care :)

But the whole 'ex of fail' and 'elite' talk should be taken with a grain of salt, basically it's guys like you and me having a

Then why even mention it? :wink1: :1-1:

Stating a fact, not bragging. I like EXs because it is something that is more limited, thus exclusive. It can be prints, swap out heads, etc. It's all good for me.

Not everyone can be EX because then EX would not mean anything. :D

But they can make it even more exclusive if it's a cool exclusive. Not just a print!

The Law of Exclusivity :lecture

Exclusivity is inversely proportional to the edition size (ES). The lower the ES, the more Exclusive it becomes. The type of thing that makes it an EX (print, alt heads, etc) determines the "coolness" of the EX.

Thus ends today's math lesson. :rotfl

Once you go EX you don't go back :yess:

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

LOL.

I am trying to find my Perfect statues. I always buy with the intent to keep the item. But I may grow tired of a piece or something better comes along and I have to sell. I don't have the room for 100 statues and storeing them seems like a waste.

If I get the Spidey Comiquette it will be the first piece i buy in which i may intend on flipping. Unless I fall in love with it then it's a keeper.

My Raiders Indy PF, Conan PF, and Hulk Comiquette are all Keepers. No Selling allowed with those. I have the Bruce (JAWS) NTT on the way. No question a keeper.

I always make some sort of profit when I sell so I don't see the big deal. I am just hoping to find the last two or three perfect keepers. I don't have a LCS so I don't get to see these first hand so I see something i like I get it. If it gets old or something better comes along then it's time to part ways. Lots of collectors do that. Not sure whats not to understand.

If Spidey comes and he is a Keeper in my eyes and then R2 and 3PO come out then my Punisher Comiquette may be the one to go. But I hate to part with him but I have no more room. So something has to go.

Then there is the chance R2 and 3PO don't deliver and so I am not left wishing i bought a statue that is now long gone or twice the price on ebay.

Now if I find my last 2 or 3 perfect statues and then something really amazing/must have comes out..Well then I am screwed. This may be the time I stop looking.

Also If I buy a piece and then sell it for a profit, then I have the funds for the next statue that may be my perfect piece.

Or as many have said my Grail.

I want to have a room of just 6 or 7 Grails. Thats the best way I can put it.

Sometimes I get a piece in hopes of it being a Grail (PF Vader) but soething is just off. It does not keep that "wow" factor. My Conan and Indiana PFs look as cool and new to me today as when I first got them. The Hulk Comiquette has that same feeling. It is still new but I don't see parting with this work of art. I hope the Spidey statue does the same. I hope i don't want to sell. But if i do and I make a small profit and end up with a statue i love more then whats the big deal? Whats so crazy about that??

From the photos of Jason and Spidey I tend to think I would fall in love more with a R2 and 3PO statue. I am pretty sure that i like the Spidey statue more then Jason so I am going with that. if I fall in love with Spidey and then the droids come out then it may be the Punisher.

opps starting to repeat myself.

Anyways like I said. I am looking to have a room of JUST grails for me. Can't always tell what a grail will be from just photos.

Mark Dorkness, can't read past 10 words :lecture

I'm pretty sure he's lost and has no clue what you are talking about...

You want some salt, to go with your salt?

:lol

lol, as a new collector I feel a bit jaded about the recent round of releases. Sideshow's earlier EX's are classics (Thor, Cap, Doom, First Xmen dio, Iron man com and Spidey vs Hulk). You OG collectors who got these @ retail are lucky =)

If Sideshow is a company that markets itself as a manufacturer/distributor of high end collectibles and prices itself as so. Shouldn't their prints be of better quality or at least be worthy of the "ex" label? (I guess that's a matter of preference)

Fair enough :) In this situation EX = Fail, I'm one of those guys who prefer substance > style and some of these prints are mediocre at best :)

Touche. I find your eliteness to be lame considering the "coolness" of the exclusive no matter the proportional limits.
