Sorry late replying with my impressions. Got mos pf for 225.00 shipped. For the price I am very happy. Suit looks great in person. Head sculpt looks good. Lacks in paint app, but not horrible. Good lighting will help alot imo. Love the pose and base. He is really light though and had to spread his legs to get the pegs into the base.Also wires in cape are pretty much useless to get a nice dynamic pose with it. I am glad I got him, but I can see those who paid retail are disappointed. Especially when comparing to comic Superman pf. I think he will display really nice. No regrets with purchase. Thanks to those for all their help and input, especially SammyG.

If you spend some time on the cape you can get it to look pretty good, IMO....

Glad you're happy with your purchase. But yeah, for that price, many people would have been happied than the original retail price...

I'm happy with mine too and can't wait to see if we'll get a BvS Batman to go along this one...

Hindsight is a funny thing... He's now selling for $250 CAD here in BC. I would have loved saving money, but I don't regret getting him at retail.

A BvS Batman would be a sick companion piece!

Nice work on cape. I can understand people being disappointed a bit in it who paid full retail, but it is not that bad at all. If Sideshow just did better on the paint app, it probably would not have received so much hate. The base is really nice and love the siut. I won auction on eBay for Reeves Superman pf new for 329.99 shipped. I know that received a lot of hate also, but he is my favorite Superman and I love the bright colors. Thanks SammyG for your pics and excellent review. Looking forward to getting him. I will probably one day try to make a new base and lose the chess piece looking one. Will have to get Keaton Bats pf next. Thanks again SammyG for sending pics of him!!!!!

Just picked this guy up for $200 shipped. For that price I'm pretty happy with him. I admit I'd be pissed if I'd paid full retail plus shipping from SS due to how basic the PF is. This piece is not worth over $400 shipped, but for $200 I'm quite happy.

Yes, there are some low ebay prices for this guy (I think I saw $250). I'm glad you're happy with him. I just can't get over the poor head sculpt. The rest of the statue looks good though.

Great score. I paid 225.00. I am happy I got him. Added Reeve Superman pf. Arrived a few days ago. I highly recommend it for any Reeve's fan. I got him for 325.00 shipped. Much better in person. Thanks again SammyG and also Quigonfishing.

The custume is well done though. It is a shame the paint job is not the best, but with proper lighting can look good.

Just playing around with a new display set up, and thought I'd take a pic of the Man of Steel under some decent display lighting. I've gone with an IKEA PAX with STRIBERG lights (which light at 2700K, so a bit on the warm side of the spectrum). This guy looks awesome on display, and I hope the photo does it justice.
