The blog is up. $585 EX/$565 REG

It's a cool statue, just don't know if I like it enough to change from my classic. Don't feel a need to get the EX either, but I understand why a lot will because it fits with the base.

But I say all this and in the end I imagine I'll preorder it and fully decide later lol.

Looks like they messed up the Height in the blog post. It says 20" H in the post but 26" H in the dimensions pic.

For $20 it doesn't make sense to not order the ex for me. Gonna be my first supes statue which is nuts because I'm such a huge fan.

I think the intention was to say how tall Superman himself is (20") and the total with the base is 26"

I know some people here or at statueforum argued about Superman holding the head.

Some are saying that's not ok for the character, some are saying don't worry it's the head of an android or so.

But now the confirmation:

"holding the head of the defeated Brainiac. Superman’s powerful punch is imprinted on the side of his foe’s face as vibrant green blood is splattered across his severed mechanical neck."

For me as a big big Superman Fan I have zero problems with that.
Btw no problems with killing Zod in MOS either. The only thing was - ok he's not coming back as a character that's sad.

Well there was a price increase BUT it wasn't as big as I was thinking (I initially predicted $600 for the EX) so this seems to be a win for collectors.

The statue looks great overall BUT my biggest beef (and one that came to mind when I first saw it) is the positioning. With the head turn, it limits where you can place this in some collections (otherwise, you'd just walk in on mainly seeing the cape).

I do like the EX though. I'm just not sure I love this statue enough to order it. I guess the question is "Is it worth almost $200 more than my iconic original Superman Premium Format?". I don't think so. I'm guessing an edition size of TBD so we'll have time.

I personally don't really care for the EX. I want my Superman statue displayed with just him and nothing else distracting in the way. I can live with the base. So just my preference. I'll be ordering the Reg tomorrow. I can't wait, it's a gorgeous piece.

I agree that the regular looks best. Still getting the EX for extra options though. Well... an extra option.

I have doubts about the hs. I'm not liking the face enough to order it. Will wait for the batman. Probably would just go for WW and batman. Don't care too much for this superman because I really like P1 Hush.

EX complements the theme of the base, but even without it the regular doesn't look like something's missing.
