I would venture a guess and say it has something to do with mass production and costs. Sideshow has had that reputation of having decent sculpts let down by factory paints for well over twenty years now. Even sculpts from the early 2000's when painted properly can really shine.

Agreed. Most of these Eastwood western roles would benefit from this.

I have Wales and the Preacher and think they are great figures. Just waiting on Munney. Was hoping the line would continue, seems like they all sold great. Next month I’ll receive Blondie PF to go next to John Wayne True Grit which is why I went statue over figure in that one, but most think that is the weakest of the Eastwood figures anyway.

It is the weakest. Still glad I got it but Wales is great! Waiting on Munny and I think it’ll just be the 3 for me. HPD would probably pull me back in though.

If you have no real inclination for an Eastwood character and only want something to encompass it all, I would get Wales. He is the all-round best of the released figures.

Seconded. I passed on Preacher (kinda wish I hadn’t) but if I had to pick one, it would be Wales even though GBU is my favorite Eastwood film. They’ve captured him best as this character imo. It’s just an all around great figure from an iconic movie. I think it had the best one liners from him.

I own Snake, Redman, Sideshow and the one I find is the best is the Snake.

A piece of you might want the sideshow, that's what happened to me, but in the end Sideshow does have better clothing, but where it counts in the Face, Snake and Redman are better...but Snake has the best execution.

I am actually waiting for Pale Rider. That's my favorite. That's my last Sideshow Eastwood.

I picked up Wales and Preacher - those two are enough for me. I was one of the many voices calling for a Munney but, when I saw the sculpt, I wasn't sold, so I ultimately passed on it.

The European sellers sure take a long time getting stock in. Fingers crossed there's something this month and that it doesn't change to Q3

I tried to slightly modify the figure from snake toys, replacing the head with a custom paint job from a friend and I have a rustic stand in the works, I’m waiting for a holder for it. And I would probably like to lengthen it a little and add dirt to the clothes!

Well... he looks like he's in pain.

It was probably painstaking for the artist to sculpt all those wrinkles in his neck though...

It was a pretty badly shot video.

I downloaded the 4k 2160p version and saved the images. Cropped three of them to show the close ups of the sculpt and they're blurry.

That has the same cartoony look as the Blondie head sculpt. The eyes are way too exaggerated, in a bad way.

I pre-ordered him, but all along I've been wary this one seemed more cartoony than the Preacher or Josey Wales. I'm hoping that in hand he'll look more natural.
