Dude, yes!!! 😂😂

Sideshow, please don't **** this up.
There are things that don't look right .ie the collar looks too flat, but that might be fixable and the gloves look a little too "chubby." He had thin white gloves. Minor nits. Really excited for this.

This is a figure I simultaneously want and don't want, as was Trick or Treat's Art the Clown.

Tim Curry's Pennywise has become the archetypal evil, disturbing clown, though there were others before him.

When I was very young I went on a school outing to see a performance by a clown going by the name of Bozo. We were all sitting on the floor and I ended up in the front row - at the best of times my preferred place is always at the back, be it a classroom or a creepy clown show.

I was terrified throughout the entire performance by this creep with a painted face, hoping not to be singled out to become part of the act, and longing for it to end.

Watching 1990's It was to relive that trauma. :panic:

So, as with Art the Clown, half of me wants the figure because it holds a certain power, and half doesn't because it does hold that power. :panic::panic:

Those new pics have me excited. It looks fantastic! Lets hope the production piece is a close match:pray:
I’m not buying the figure (no sentimental attachment to the movie/character) but I’m excited for the future prospects of Sideshow.

If the Pennywise and Beetlejuice are any indication, hopefully Sideshow has turned the corner for producing quality 1/6 figures and head sculpts.

Now that I think about it, most of their Clint Eastwood figures are pretty good too, albeit a bit too much on the caricature side.

I watched It again last night, and just finished a rewatch of the 2021 documentary, Pennywise: The Story of It.

It's still so creepy. :horror

And I'm still conflicted about getting the figure. One of the early comments on Sideshow's video was, "Looks perfect but not sure I'll be able to handle that on my shelf staring at me." I completely understand that.

Trick or Treat's 1/6 Art the Clown from Terrifier is malevolent on the shelf. While Art's possibly the most disgusting in the pantheon of evil clowns, Tim Curry's Pennywise is something more primal.

Unlike the vivid memory of first seeing the Joker in his prison uniform in the '66 Batman series, I must have suppressed the nightmare of sitting on the floor in the front row of the clown show because it only came back due to the Sideshow figure.

I can't build a full picture of that event. Don't know where it was, only that it was a school outing on a coach to somewhere. Maybe a community hall. No chairs to sit on, but back then we were accustomed to sitting on the floor for school assembly as well.

I remember the semi-dark room. No stage, so the creep with the painted face was walking up and down just in front of me. It was a real life nightmare.

I've got no problem with the likes of 1/6 Michael, Jason or Freddy, but Tim Curry's Pennywise is a different kettle of fish. :panic:

Can see myself not being able to resist pre-ordering, and then worrying about it later when it arrives. :lol
