My goodness, I LOVE minutiae, errata, and trivia about the STAR WARS films. Thanks, I did NOT know that! :lol

I learned a LOT when I was working on my costume.

This is me, By the way:

This is what I want a SS 1:6 vader to look like. More or less. The costume is still under tweak. ;) And they BETTER do the checkerboard pattern on the mask! Did the Medicoms do that?

If you look close in the lightsaber duel on Cloud City, Vader has the same short tunic, again probably done for ease of movement during difficult scenes.

If you watch the behind-the-scenes on the ROTS, Hayden C. in the Vader outfit had a troubled time just navigating the steps up to the Star Destroyer bridge set.

Hat's off to all folks who wear Vader and Stormtrooper costumes at cons!

Hats off to Hayden Christensen for insisting on being the dude in the armour. He didn't have to do that. (can't say I blame him... I once got to wear one of the real TESB Vader helmets --even though it stank, it was so effing cool!)
