I would like to point out that a 1/6 Vader with a reveal mask is not all that difficult to do; the molding would be somewhat complicated on the brace and the mask, both of which have quite a few undercuts, but it's do-able.Hell, Hurricane and I have made a cottage industry out of producing them, and haven't gotten any complaints from our customers(at least I haven't). Our customs are well proportioned and detailed, and while my figure's articulation is a bit limited( an unavoidable consequence of trying to save the "talking"feature"), the fact is that Vader is not an agile character, as anyone who's worn the suit can attest. Are we going to have to drag out pictures again?...PS

I wouldn't mind if there was no reveal helm...

But it would be a nice touch if there was...

That extra dash of awesomeness...

I'd like the Anakin Reveal to be a separate figure with the cut off hand and messy armour. The most important part though, is I want it to be a part of the Order Of The Jedi line and I want it to be called Anakin Skywalker, because we never saw Darth Vader with his mask off after ROTS.

Dave actually does make a good point, and would keep both sets of people happy. Those that want the ROTJ Vader will have him, those of us that want a 3 piece reveal of Anakin will have him because once he throws Palpatine he is Anakin again.

That would be cool to have a battle damaged version of the ROTJ Vader but.... I dunno... I just have my heart set on the 3 piece reveal...

What if you wanted to pose him laying on the ground with Luke? You would have to have a 3 piece helmet accessory anyway or he would really be quite incomplete.

I would rather have 3 heads than one reveal head.

Heck, I could really care less about reveal, just give me a ESB Vader and I'm good.

This way we could have the following figures over the course of the line:

1: ROTS Vader (armoured since we already have Vader without armour)
2: ANH Vader
3: TESB Vader
4: TESB Hoth Invasion Vader (with snowy boots & shorter tunic)
5: ROTJ Vader
6: Anakin Skywalker revealed (battle damaged Vader armour with 3 piece removable helmet and missing hand)

Six, over the course of the line is much better than 4 in my opinion.

I can live with that. I had no idea there were 2 Vaders in ESB. :lecture

They should have released atleast one of those armoured Vader's by now.Except for Vader with snowy boots,I could care less about that one.

Not really. There are different costume variations though, and in the Hoth scenes, Vader's tunic goes just below the knees. I figure this is to make it easier for the actor to walk on the 'snowy' set without having a big mess.

The snow painted on the boots would simply allow SSC to have an excuse to give us another Vader.

I will agree. I costume as Vader, and getting up and down stairs in costume is a real *****!

check out the tunic in the Hoth scene then, and you'll have your answer

Oh, I know. :) I just bunch up the inner robe/tunic, and carefully pick myself up or down stairs.

I had someone hold my cape on an escalator once..

If you look close in the lightsaber duel on Cloud City, Vader has the same short tunic, again probably done for ease of movement during difficult scenes.

If you watch the behind-the-scenes on the ROTS, Hayden C. in the Vader outfit had a troubled time just navigating the steps up to the Star Destroyer bridge set.

Hat's off to all folks who wear Vader and Stormtrooper costumes at cons!

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

That behind the scenes moment always reminded me of Fat Elvis when he had to be helped on and off stage.

When I was onstage at one of the Weird Al concerts, We had a couple people who were there to help me up and off the stage. Would have looked bad if Vader tripped and Fell!

But yes, The Vader Stuntman had shorter inner robe, and cape to help with ease of fighting. The Stunt Helmet was also different, having perspex(?) cheeks, and neck so he could see a lot more than with the hero helmet.
