So I got mine yesterday.... I will post pics this weekend.... Anyway, I'm pretty impressed! I swapped right over to a Narrow TT. Funny, one of the shoe holes was pretty deep, so the TT barbell would slip down too deep so that every time I moved the ankle joint the foot would come off. Anyway, I cut a small piece of wooden dowel and slipped it down there enabling the barbell to stick out enough to stay on the leg. With all the figures I've ported from Pros to TTs I've never had that issue.... Anyway, that's a quick and easy fix for anyone who might ahve the same issue.

I think this version is superior, overall, to the ROTLA release. Better shirt (like the color, not quite as yellow as the first) and jacket, and although I like the color of the ROTLA pants over these I do like the fact that they button in the back rather then the front. Skull, knife and mask look great and the bag, shoes and belts (unfortunately, the belts could have used an upgrade) are all status quo. The sculpt is a bit big but it's also really nice... to bad the ROTLA figure wasn't painted like this.

I was looking at the hat and comparing it to a ROTLA version I had removed when doing a repaint and was surprised to see that it's entirely new. I really liked the way they were going with the new hat but it just doesn't quite line up with the head. I might try swapping just to see how it looks.

Gimme more Indy!!!

Well, let's see some pics, Flosi! :tap

I also noticed the hat was a different sculpt. I appreciate Sideshow's attention to detail that they resisted re-using the ROTLA hat sculpt, But it makes it weirder that they seem so disproportionate to each other if the hat was especially made for KOTCS Indy. Although I noticed this in Faststreets's thread for "the Village" TOD Indy:

That hat looks way too small for Indy, doesn't it? It seems to taper severely to a narrow point. Just the angle, I suppose.

Glad Indy lived up to your expectations, Flosi. Enjoy! I'm thoroughly happy with mine!

:google Wow! it really does look about the same as the KOTCS figure's hat! And yeah, Jim, I'm very happy with him. I'm tempted to get another just to use the shirt and jacket and maybe part out the rest... I know Fisher, for example, was looking for a second gun..... Sorry for not posting pics

I know it's been mentioned but this figure looks great next to the Medi Mutt.... I picked one up for under 70 shipped from BBTS awhile back.

Like I said a few posts prior I swapped him over to a Narrow TT. I love this figure, SS did a great job. :clap

I got mine through the post a while ago. Only just got round to checking it out. I straight away placed everything on a narrow shoulder True Type body. Here are a few photo's of it after the quick alteration.

I may go thurther on customising it some time in the future, but this is it for now.

I have been very happy to see the pics in this thread. A lot (if not all) of you have Indy's out of the box that had much better paint job than mine had.

Also, regarding the hat issue, Steve Delk's hats had several variations in the film, meaning that in some scenes Indy hat was more stove pipe like (left image), in other scenes more like what comes on the figure (right image):

Keep the pics coming ... love to see everyones Indy's!

Medi Mutt looks great next to Indy. I got him for around 65 through BBTS a few months back when we all thought the SS line was dead, just to pair with Indy. I'm glad I bought him as he was a solid addition for the price.... Being my first full size Medi figure I will say that I'd never pay full price for one though. 65 was about the right price point.

While in that photo the hat looks small, it still follows the natural contour of Harrison's head. KOTCS Indy's hat doesn't.

Okay I took a few shots with my crappy camera, but I switched to the narrow shoulder true type, got a MFisher whip, repainted the fedora and added a little color to the face. I think it adds a lot to the sculpt and really took the paint from good to great.

Now just what are Mike's INCREDIBLE whips doing on the stock SS belt rig??? You need Mike's FULL rig to show those beauties off!
:whip

:D

(figures look GREAT MOC!)

Thanks on the figures, but I agree they need the belt upgrade. When I ordered the raiders holster Mike was short on material for the belts. Now i'm trying to save cash as the wife and I have a little Mutt of our own on the way this fall. Who knows my b-day is next month and the Mrs. Has been asking what I want, maybe a belt upgrade is in the cards
