I took a small screw driver and tightened up the screws in front. That seemed to work 4 me.

Hopefully this works for everyone with loose legs. Mine are nice and tight. I did have trouble removing the batteery cover, I didn't want to break it. I like this thing.

Here is my Emperor meeting with my Apes! Long live the Planet of the Apes! Thanks Sideshow! Keep them coming.

My rear AND front legs were loose. The front legs were an easy fix. Tighten screws,.. the rear? Awful, they just kept sliding up and dropping poor Sidious! The fix?.. I got some rust colored thread and wrapped it around the join a few times and then trimmed off the excess. Seemed to work and tighten pretty well.

So that explains how the Ape Army gets its power . . .

Thanks, although the front legs seem to be fine it's those darn back legs that are loose. I gonna try this suggestion from funnymoney...

It has been said that the Empire practices in the arts of guerilla warfare. :D

As much as I liked this piece, mine is going back. None of the legs stay in place and are real loose.

First SS piece I've ever had an issue with.

guess it wasn't meant to be.

Yah, I'm really not enjoying this piece as much as I thought I would. For once, a cheaper piece of crap would be more welcome.

This isn't like one of the regular 1:6th scale figures where you can do a TON of things with it. This really is more of a display piece and a display piece only. So I'm not sure how much of the normal enjoying you can get.

This one is sort of lack luster, but if the thread trick works on the back legs, Ill keep it naturally. Anyone know why they did rubber hind legs and hard PVC on the front? Seems like with the weight of the "hologram" that the whole thing would be hard PVC.

Also, has anyone posted side by side pics of the 1/6th Maul with this in comparison to the movie still? I tend to think this guy is a tad out of scale.

Finally, has anyone tried painting the LED or adding a celephane "gel" (if you will) over the LED to see if you can achieve a more consistent light dispersion?

My guess is that Coheteboy was expecting to be able to take advantage of the leg articulation WITH the hologram ON the chair. But with the weight, that doesn't seem possible for him.

I was surprised at the weight of Sidious myself actually. I'm not sure what there is 2 really take advantage of on this piece. In the movie it just walks.

If you're patient enough with striking the right centers of gravity, you can do quite a few gestural poses with the chair. In fact, I posted pics of some several pages back.

Chair cradling on its hind legs

Spider-like swipes with the front legs

Sharply pointing gestures with front legs (as if the chair is emphasizing Sidious' point)

Mid-stride poses

"Frightened cat" pose - arched and standing on only tips of feet

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Essentially, it's a mechanical spider, so you can try for poses that would fall into such a "character"

I guess. I just prefer to keep my stuff "movie" related.

I can understand that.

For me, I like to give my imagination a workout with these figures. In fact, my forthcoming Leia Boushh review has Leia wearing the helmet and posing like Darth Maul with the electrostaff. Definitely not in the movie, but a cool and fun look regardless. :)

Since the review hasn't been published yet (should be tonight), I don't want to post any of the actual pics, but here's a short little composite of the "Boushh Maul" pose and one with only the adapter on the head, which looks hysterical to me. It's like a giant thumb!
