and the women tape their nipples down.) :lecture

I'm not so sure about that, I think Ms. Portman has the beams on a bit in TPM in the shot "are you sure about this, trusting our fate to a boy we hardly know." I've had a huge crush on her since that film and I couldn't help noticing that little detail back in the day :)

Hmmmm... It must have been a post PT mandate from Palpatine. :lecture

"She will come to you, and then you will show her nipples before me. I have forseen it. Her yearning for you will be their erecting."

:lol:lol:lol You are all lucky that I seem to have an exclusive password on Sideshow which allows me to see what acessories each figure comes with. ;)

Blackhole is right, I can't think of one character that wears plain sensible shoes. (We know they wear underwear.. at least in bacta tanks.... and the women tape their nipples down.) :lecture

I wouldn't call them plain or simple, but I think Boba Fett wears shoes (or maybe very small boots?). Maybe that is why we all think he is so cool?

Nipples?

She doesn't mind them showing through, but she does mind showing them off, she's done 2 films where she bares but never show shows the goods.

Anyway, before totally derailing, I CAN'T WAIT for this figure.

Either way I don't mind seeing them. :monkey5

I'm with ya I can't wait for both honestly. I've been stoked for this since SDCC. I hope we get some kind of notice this week.

Oluf really did an outstanding job on this one. Though I really like trev's and andy's work, I don't understand the attitude that they are the only great sculptors. Tim and Oluf have also done some of the most outstanding stuff for sideshow. Really all the sculptors at SS are aces for me.

Yeah, Oluf is one hell of a good sculptor. He did the Boromir statue for the SSW LOTR line. Its one of the best likenesses of the entire run. Plus he did the Maul PF I believe as well as the Maul 1:6th. Nice guy too! I got a chance to meet him at SDCC in 05 I believe it was.

If we get a notice this week we could have them by TF but right now I'd say after post TF is more likely.

Well I think people overlook Tim and Oluf in Star Wars because percentage wise, they've both done less than Andy, Trev and Mat in the SW line, plus Andy and Trev post more around here so that puts them at the front of people's minds. I've been trying to spread word to foiks about how good Tim is on human portraits, his T-1000 mini bust is extraordinary, I hope to see more humans from him in the SW line. Frodo and Sam look great in pictures and I'm sure it'll hold true in hand, but I haven't seen them in person to give my full opinion on them, so much you don't see in a picture that you can giving them a true look over in person.

This is Tim's T-1000, I mean damn it's good.

Tim also sculpted this figure for McFarlane, Jonathan Papelbon of the Boston Red Sox

And though the paint doesn't fully live up to potential, I find Oluf's sculpting of Qui-Gon and and Maul figures to really nail the actors, and Oluf's PF Maul is just gorgeous. I didn't see Ray Park in it much from early pics, but when I got it, it's my Maul as I remember and love him from TPM.

I was caught off guard to learn Oluf did the Palp set only because the majority of sculpts seemed to be from the same guys and Oluf had only been used a few times, but so far he's doing gerat and I'd love to see more of what he does. I think Tim, Andy, Trev and Oluf have really know how to emphasize features in their portraits to make the likenesses stand out better. Not sure if I articulated that well enough, it's hard to explain but you see it in their work.

I think Sideshow should fly MaulFan into L.A. to their offices for their Toy Fair event so he can shoot their newly announced items. :monkey3

(I volunteer to write the descriptions :lol )
