Well I think people overlook Tim and Oluf in Star Wars because percentage wise, they've both done less than Andy, Trev and Mat in the SW line, plus Andy and Trev post more around here so that puts them at the front of people's minds. I've been trying to spread word to foiks about how good Tim is on human portraits, his T-1000 mini bust is extraordinary, I hope to see more humans from him in the SW line. Frodo and Sam look great in pictures and I'm sure it'll hold true in hand, but I haven't seen them in person to give my full opinion on them, so much you don't see in a picture that you can giving them a true look over in person.
This is Tim's T-1000, I mean damn it's good.
Tim also sculpted this figure for McFarlane, Jonathan Papelbon of the Boston Red Sox
And though the paint doesn't fully live up to potential, I find Oluf's sculpting of Qui-Gon and and Maul figures to really nail the actors, and Oluf's PF Maul is just gorgeous. I didn't see Ray Park in it much from early pics, but when I got it, it's my Maul as I remember and love him from TPM.
I was caught off guard to learn Oluf did the Palp set only because the majority of sculpts seemed to be from the same guys and Oluf had only been used a few times, but so far he's doing gerat and I'd love to see more of what he does. I think Tim, Andy, Trev and Oluf have really know how to emphasize features in their portraits to make the likenesses stand out better. Not sure if I articulated that well enough, it's hard to explain but you see it in their work.
