Thats a great idea having the image on the inside like that. This is going to be such a sweet set... I think we might be getting spoiled with these coming so soon after Old Ben.
Yay I just flipped my Bronze Dooku Dio so Palpies will be free for me. (only way I could have afforded him).

Ah, the American way! Congrats! I'm really blooking forward to these. Not getting them directly from SSC though, I'll skip the points but save a couple bucks. Not sure which I like more, but I'm really wishing I'd gotten an AOTC 12" Yoda to duel Sidious! Is anyone gonna snag a POTF 12" Emperor Palp. to change out the SSC's robes? You could easily make Episode I & II Sidious or the Emperor from the end of Revenge.

I imagine we'll see a lot of this, but in my opinion, it would look really crap. The Hasbro robes are too short for even the hasbro figure, and the hood is pretty small. to say nothing of the thin material.
Ya, I contemplated the possibility of making a Jedi Palpatine from that robe, but it's just so subpar, the hood is absolutely the worst 1/6 hood I've ever encountered on a figure. Someone once posted a link to a site that made 1/6 Jedi and Sith robes, maybe if we got that link there could be something decent for Palpatine's Sith robe.

I agree on the size of the hood for the Hasbro Emperor, but the material itself is perfect IMO.
Anzik sent me an awesome TPM Palpatine head and unfortunately the hood from the Hasbro item makes it difficult to look right. I may need to sew a new hood.

Man, that's really too bad. I was almost looking forward to having an Emperor from the end of ROTS. One of my favorite scenes from of the Saga is he and Vader watching the early construction of the Death Star, not to mention on Mustafar when he says:
"He's still alive.."
I'm hoping we get a ROTJ Palpatine in 1:6 form soon too. I'm all pumped up for Palpy!

It is pretty decent material, but looking at these 2 figures, SSC would have much finer rib lines in the material and match the film even better than Hasbro's material, so here's to hoping they do up ROTJ Emperor soon.

No doubt at 3x the price of Hasbro they can achieve a better product. But for what it cost, it was good.
I wonder if SSC will try to hunch him over or have us do it.
I have mixed feelings over the way Hasbro did that.

Hopefully the body will have enough poseability to be hunched over. It worked pretty well on the POTA figures, you can get a nice simian stance with them. I think ROTJ Palps will be the same.

Just got mine too......hmmm......I leave for a 3 day conference on the 5th and usually anything that needs to be signed for gets sent to work.....not sure what my options are...I usually get them within 48 hours of shipment....what are my chances it'll arrive before I go?
