Main reason:

These will make a HUGE splash when released and so SS will want them infront of the largest audience possible. However I wouldn't mind seeing a Dooku at TF or ANH Vader since that is more niche ... but yea I stand by the figures I listed as never showing up outside SDCC.

Thanks for the fantastic pics; both look very, very good. In close ups, Red Palps seems to have a lot of facial detail; in others, the paint apps seem to be covering up details - issue seems to be (as usual) lighting of the pics - Emperor Palps :emperorlooks downright fantastic.

A lot of us (myself included) give SS a lot of grief when figs turn out less than hoped; these have turned out fantastic and I love to give credit where credit is due. Sideshow: good job with these.....I hope production figs of ANH Han and Luke turn out this good!!!

Indeed, my guess is the detail lies somewhere between what is apparent in the unaltered shots and the images of the washed figures, and that's just fine with me.

And all the more fun, it's a good time to be a Sith Star Wars collector Sid/Palp in a week or so, Medi Maul coming in Feb, Dio up for order last night and bust up for sale next week. 2008 is going the way of the Dark Side, I'm hoping for a climax of Vader proportions.

They are not separate boxes. QQB's boxed pics were in fact different sides of the same box.
