Medicom fans will forever say that Sideshow's heads are too big. In my opinion, Medicom's heads are always too small, so if that's what you come to know and like, then of course SSC will look big, but Sideshow and Hot Toys heads are the same scale and to me that's my norm.

Seriously though, I know i'm technichly one of the medikids, (though granted I've got more sideshow stuff than medi, but that's only becuase of the starwars line). i buy figures of characters that I like. i've got a few Medi starwars, The comic spidey, a few other anime figures, the colonial marine set from Hot toys, and severla others on the way. What i don't get is this.... I donno... Driving "my dad can beat up your dad" mentality that seems prevelent between hardcore fans. Sometimes it bandwagons out of controll, and other times it's squashed.
Meh, I like what I like, and I buy what I like. So many cool toys, so little money

I'm with ya there. I like Medicom and have several of the SW figures and the X3 Wolvie. I got the 501st figure yesterday and am quite happy with it and looking forward to the Shocktrooper coming Tuesday. They ALL have issues which can be talked about without having to try and be a jerk.

Not everyone, just some of the ones talking in the palpatine thread. No need to take it so personaly Krayat. I try to be a voice of reason, to see all sides of a situation, then make my own mind up. I was merely commenting that there has been some complaints made that his clothes look poofy, and his head seems large.
I then wished to show that i did not think so. If I was including EVERYONE on mediworld, then I would be including myself wouldn't I?

I think it's unfair to jude any figure completely untill you actualy get the change to hold it yourself, and see it in person. I get impressions from photos, but the pictures can, and many times are distorted.
Firsthand exposure, IMHO is the only real way to see how something truely is.

Just spent soem time lookin' at those pics over a Sandtrooper again...(any chance of some hi-res Josh? )...

This set looks fantastic. I think everyone who's gettin' it is going to get a lot of mileage out of it...being from taking pics or painting them up (although I'm thinking they look pretty good already based on the pics)...

Really looking forward to them!

I sure know I will. Aside from creative images, I've got about 150 combined films stills to go along with these 2 figures. Now, Mace, Anakin and Kit Fisto comprise some of that number, but Palpatine represents in about 90% of them. I may trim it down in the end, but I did about 60 with Old Ben, so it's not so crazy considering there are 2 figures here. I'll probably be starting the stills that just have the others this week in prep for when these 2 arrive. I'm also looking forward to some creative images that just highlight on Sidious' evil visage and Palpatine's sinister charisma.
