Just spent soem time lookin' at those pics over a Sandtrooper again...(any chance of some hi-res Josh?)...
This set looks fantastic. I think everyone who's gettin' it is going to get a lot of mileage out of it...being from taking pics or painting them up (although I'm thinking they look pretty good already based on the pics)...

I don't know if Chris's camera takes pics in high res or not honestly. I don't think so as his camera is not quite as nice as the Cannon I use. I can ask though and see if he does have some in high res or not.
I cannot wait to get these and am jealous that Chris has one.

Granted ours are shipping this week, but the question comes to mind, if your site got an advanced one for review and such, could a Rebelscum PA addition be coming this weekend?

Hi Guys!! This is my first post from Argentina. I was really impressed with sideshow work on Palpatine and Sidious figure but after I saw the pictures you posted here I'm wondering... WHAT HAPPEND WITH ITS FACE!!! AND WITH ITS CLOTHES!!! Please help me answer one question... Why many many times the pictures differ from what at least the figure results...
I dont understand... it happened with Obi wan Kenobi 12"... I also buy stuff from Medicom and Hot Toys and what you see is what you get... THANKS !!

Sideshow has very talented painters on staff to do the single prototype figures and they do them very well. The factory painters can't match that quality. How Hot Toys can have good painters in factory and prototype is beyond me, but they do, and Medicom has such simple paint apps it's hard for their figures not to match the prototype.

In addition to what MaulFan said.. I don't think there is any difference between the clothes from prototype to production. That is one area where SS is usually really consistent.
Or improves, like Palpatine's texture matching the film better than the velvet material of the proto. Also, weapons and creatures tend to be exactly what you see in the proto, like Salacious, Jabba, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Bib Fortuna. Human paint apps are the only real point of variation in a negative way, and even that gap is slowly closing, not their, but getting close.
I'm really impressed with Sidious, it's nice too to see the level of craftsmanship to the black under clothing, looks to be detailed, and after the dickie the Hasbro used, anything better than that is just more and more splendid. Sidious' hood also looks to have a nice clean edge on the trim instead of fraying edges, which is great and makes the piece look better.
I have a feeling Sidious in hand will looks as good as the proto did, Palpatine's hair looks almost 1 shaded right now but I'm sure that's a different case once you get it too.

Trust me, that's not always true. We've had some pretty funny threads in the past about waitlisters getting their pieces before those that ordered the first day.
Yup, I've been the beneficiary of that happening.
