Since Kojima is involve in this, I just hope we dont have 40 minutes of cinamatics, and walk a few steps, and have another another 30 minutes of cinematics.

Sounds like RE6. :lol

Anyway, I'll give this game a try.

Especially since Masahiro Ito said that he was still game for Silent Hill if Kojima ever asked him to come onboard.

I could never beat it. Never got the phone to ring. Anybody have any tips. I could only get the baby to laugh once.

I can't beat it either.

I beat it once yesterday but now I don't know how I did it :panic: I'm stuck too.

Since Kojima is involve in this, I just hope we dont have 40 minutes of cinamatics, and walk a few steps, and have another another 30 minutes of cinematics.

Only one game, of the bunch of games Kojima has made, has long cutscenes, only one.

I've gotten the phone to ring 3 for 3 now....

From what I've noticed looking at the plant near the clock seems to cause a phrase in another language to appear; the table with the little bear near it another....all by zoom. The picture of the couple by the swinging light is interactive when you see the sign.......'x' is the only way I've interacted with that. When I hear the baby crying I go to the little bear and zoom. When i hear the woman crying, I always try to find her - usually by either end of the hallway or window

3rd time took about 45 min - it does feel a little like fumbling

Excellent write up on all of Kojima's comments today:

Well I can complete the picture no problem, I know where all the photo pieces are.

I've gotten like 20 messages in different languages now and had all sort of hallway combinations, and still nothing.

And I can always find the woman no problem, in fact, have you noticed that when she rushes to you, you hear an extra knock when you walk? And you also hear a weird breathing noise that you normally don't hear, and you don't see the woman ever again until you restart the loop.

Extra Knock? I've always thought it was a foot stomp, but no expert.........you broadcast via twitch; if so, we can do it together? two eyes better than one as it were

And the funny thing, I am not sure which picture you all mean? I've never noticed I was fixing one. I assume it the woman's by the clock?

Yeah, the woman by the clock is a pic that you start putting together by zooming on the pieces of the photo, in the bottom of the plant there's one piece, that's why you get the letters.

Yeah, try it, listen to your walking and you'll only hear your 2 steps, then let the woman go through you, and you'll start hearing the stomp, and you'll hear weird breathing noises, not crying, just breathing, and you won't see the lady again until you restart the loop.

I don't have a twitch account, and I don't have a way to record either :lol maybe I could do it from my computer but it must be a hassle no?

I can't wait until the theories start to pop up, what's the deal with the numbers?

Also, Silent HillS, plural, could be a reference to multiple realities?

according to Kojima, the (s) means extra scares - read the article in the link a few posts up. What he lacks in subtlety he makes up with enthusiasm! And if you have a PS4, signing up for twitch takes about 1 min...thats how I did it

Yeah I read it, but he obviously doesn't mean that, I'm pretty sure he was just being silly there, and if he directed this demo, it's pretty clear to me he can handle subtlety, or maybe that's where Del Toro comes in.

Yeah, who knows.

I just thought all the mumbo jumbo about the door gap being another reality, "I'm the only me, are you sure the only you is you?" And "I saw myself walking in front of me." hint to different realities, which is nothing new to Silent Hill.

Watched a Speedrun of this already, Kojima said he expected the games puzzles to take someone a week to finish it. The Speedrun was completed 13 times in a row lol 10 minutes. One constant I saw was you don't even need to collect the pieces.

I beat it again :yess: I think I have a theory.

in the last loop when the alarm clock goes off, I think you need to let the woman "possess" you, you just need to find her whenever you hear the sobbing, and walk to her and shell go through you, you'll know you're "possessed" because you'll hear an extra stomp when you walk and you'll hear breathing noises in your head, then I just waited next to the phone for a while and the baby laughed twice.

Apparently it can be quite random the time lapse between the 2 laughs, some people wait 2 minutes, some people wait 15.

So I doubt there are any "speed runs" considering that.

The guy speedrunning on twitch did do it once in 10 minutes, I had watched it. You don't need to even collect any pieces, one constant in each of his runs was once you go to the writing on the wall near river painting that seems to start of something. Because he took 10 steps towards phone and second laugh.
