Ugh, the anticipation for my next piece from you is killing me :lol These pics are incredible.

I am really loving the one up manhsip that is going on between a small select group of painters on here :lol

As it stands I honestly believe that to be the most unreal paint job on the most talented sculpt :thud:

I think I am already his 'friend' on Facebook. I'll try that, but it does seem the least professional way to go about it. But, all my work is there, so...

Yours will probably be the best 1/6 Indy I have done yet, Dane.

:yess: :bow

You may have to take your paint work down a notch if you work for HT...they have a reputation for their production pieces matching their prototypes to uphold :lol

Well, we'll just see what their true attitude toward greatness is. :lol Some companies worry about saving money by cutting costs and then expect to make more money. Other companies give it everything they've got, and become gods.

I thought I had JC Hong and/or Howard Chan as Facebook friends, but apparently not. Does anybody have a link to their personal pages? There are a lot of each to filter through.

Facebook seems to be getting more and more acceptable as a means of getting in contact with people, and sometimes the only way. :dunno

And apparently it can also get you fired :lol :(

I eventually switched to wax and learned how to work with that. I prefer wax so much more then SS. A hard grade wax would give you a lot of the same feeling as working with 2 part epoxies with the added bonus of being able to re-heat and continue working after it has cooled.

I've only worked with SS but have been wondering about making the switch sometime. Does wax smell funny when you're working with it? I know it sounds like a silly question, but after hanging around someone waxing some furniture today I don't think I'd be able to take sitting trying to concentrate on a sculpt with a pot of the stuff bubbling away on my desk.

From what little I know of using wax, I believe it's actually a solid block that you take tiny chunks of as you need it with a heated sculpting tool.

I could be way off though.:dunno
