A few more pics of WW in different lighting to show off more of the detail. The pics alone don't show off the awesome paintwork SS has done on the repaint. I have over 30 PFs and I'd definitely say some of best paintwork done is on WW.

I'll post more pics when I'm done. I've made a top from scratch (just need to add fasteners to the back, then I can clean up the bits of excess fabric hanging over the belt), switched out the wire frame at the bottom of the cape and added wiring to the top of the cape, added a fastening clasp /necklace for the cape, and will be swapped the lasso with a better quality nylon cord that will be attached to a fastener I'll be adding to her belt.

Hey samueljd, thanks for posting the pics of your Wonder Woman with the finished clothes you did. She looks great!

Not only did I repaint her, but when she arrived to me from samueljd, her right arm holding the axe was broken clean through the bicep, her wrist was snapped off, and several finger tips were broken off. That and the axe handle was bent. I had to repair all of that before even starting to paint.

You can't really see very well in these pics, but I gave her some sexy freckles all over her thighs, chest, and shoulders.

Here are some pics I took while working on her.

Here is a previous Wonder Woman I did:
https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2082838#post2082838

On this one, the guy wanted the crappy corset removed so he could see the amazing abs and obliques the WIP sculpt had, but when I ripped it off, the detail had been sanded down so that the crappy corset fit tighter. See above thread link for work in progress pics.

Originally I was just supposed to paint the sculpted body red so it would look like there was a skin tight corset on, but that wasn't good enough for me, so I sculpted a new corset on wth some Roman-esque body armor-style detailing.

I also gave this one the option of removable cape, and removable and repositional sword.

The sword used to be embedded into her right thigh with a square plug that was part of the sword sculpt.

I got rid of that and filled in the hole and resculpted the sword on the inside.

I absolutely hated the way McG treated the idea of the T-600s. Skynet would not build giant humanoid machines and then try to pass them off as human with crappy rubber masks. That is not what Kyle was talking about in T1, and that's not what Cameron was thinking of. To me a 600 is just an 800 Endo with foam latex rubber or silicon skin like Hollywood uses in movies. For me a 600 should look as good as Arnold's puppet stand in did in T1.

That said, I loved the idea of giant machines used to terrorize and lay waste to human survivors. The T2:3-D thing at Universal Studios has a giant T-70.

So, what I wanted to do was make a variation of the T-70 using the Martin Laing T-600 figure because it had the cool looking ammo pack which also doesn't have straps. I wanted my machine to look as little like it was trying to pass itself off as human as possible. No clothes, no mask, just ultimate machine badassery.

The T70s have a gunarm on the right side. So, using parts from the lame ass Laing gun, and the T3 futuristic cannon, I made this.

That's awesome Nathan! I've never seen the ride terminator before but that's a great idea.

AWESOME WORK!

I really like the way you think. A few of those pics make me think Wonder Woman would also be awesome displayed topless.

Good stuff, man!

Thanks. I like to think outside the box a lot.

With this Terminator, I'm just glad the parts worked well for the idea. In fact, the way everything went together just by design was a little better than what my innitial vision was to begin with. I took guts to potentially ruin an expensive figure, but it paid off beyond expectations. I'm glad you guys like it too.

Nice work man! I love that your inspiration was the Universal show, that thing effing rocks. I'm going there in a few weeks and I already can't wait to see it :rock

Thanks guys. I love seeing what can be done to re-invent things. I'm glad you approve.

I started doing customs for people by posting stuff I did in my spare time on my own collections. It does feel like work sometimes doing so many commissions for other people knowing I can't keep the stuff I make or paint. Getting your feedback helps me keep going. It's funny how I can get burned out doing commissions for a day or two, but what I still end up doing with the breaks is custom work on my own stuff.

I guess that's just how I keep myself fresh and interested.

Man, one of these days I'll get something painted by you... I'm only doing my LOST customs now so it's not like I have unpainted head sculpts just laying around (although I wish they were more plentiful). Hopefully by the time the next sculpt gets released you'll be willing and able/available to take it on. :) Fantastic stuff sir!

Here's a small, but dramatic detail change I wanted to do on my Marcus for a long time, but I wasn't sure (like usual) if I had the ability to pull it off or the guts to try. While waiting on a new airbrush compressor to arrive so I can continue the Na'vi Sapien Pred I'm doing, I decided to use the time to make my Marcus vision a reality.

First off, it's probably common knowledge by now that I hate the story in Terminator Salvation. I think everything about every character is so wrong. But, I love the figures. While I can't stand the Marcus Wright character, the thought of using his battle-damaged head to create a totally un-Salvation-related custom T-800 Model (not 101) was intriguing.

Inspired by the Franco Columbo T-800 scene in T1, I wanted this T-800 to be hauling some heavy firepower, but finding an exact duplicate in 1/6 of what Columbo was firing wasn't happening. I also didn't want the weapon to be too real-world, but more like the plausible but fictional Cameron/Winston weapons I love, so I decided to find a Smart Gun from either the Drake or Vasquez Aliens figures. I found Vasquez's first.
MarcusWright-RightProfile.jpg

That part I've had for a while now. The detail I'm talking about changing is the left eye. I hated that Marcus's face was burned off on the left side, yet his friggin' eyelids were still intact.
HT-New-T4Marcus-09.jpg

Lame!

I imagined how cool it would be if the eyelids weren't there and you could see the Endo eye. And here you go:

MarcusWright-FaceRightLeft.jpg

MarcusWright-Front2.jpg

MarcusWright-Front.jpg

I used a small Dremel bit to carefully grind away the existing eye and hollow out the eye socket. Then I sculpted an Endo eye inside and painted it. I also repainted the right eye so that both were looking slightly left and up.
MarcusWright-FaceLeft.jpg

I was thinking of lighting it up, which is part of what took me so long to go ahead with this project because I knew it would take time to figure out, but in the end I figured I would probably only ever turn it on to take pics for this thread and never display it like that. Instead I decided to paint the lighted effect on so that I could get a sense of it without worrying about figuring out the wiring, or running down batteries. That way this figure doesn't have to sit with darkened eyes or have eyes that are too bright to be in visual scale anyway like the other Terminator figures. I also liked the camera-esque eyes of the T1 Endo with adjustable pupil/aperture. So that's the effect I wanted to paint.

So, what do you think?

Thank you very. Yeah, I got some catching up to do. I suppose I'm thankful for the current overload though. That just means I'm doing something right. I hope to be caught up soon so I can invite new orders.
