I don't mind discussions in my thread in addition to pics of my work. I welcome it as long as it is at least remotely related to what I am or may be working on, or has something to do with anything I may address myself, like the religious discussion I very much enjoyed last month.

It's all good. I learn stuff, too.

Here's the thing, and to be fair I hate to hijack Nathan's thread as this page is about NATHAN'S awesome work, Rocco fills a void. He does the fringe characters *LIKE jesse, gus and mike... that other sculptors would 1) charge too much for, 2) take to long to complete or 3) wont do at all. So you gotta take the bad with the good.

I needed jesse in my collection. In fact I needed 2 of them. And a gus. and a mike... and I'll figure out a saul and hector later. And the only way to get one, that looks halfway decent, is Rocco. So be it.

I did see it. Its good. It is in fact a private commission and its not available to general public at the moment.

Some more pics of Jesse built up with Tattoo, gloves, boots and cig. The tatt is a decal with flesh tone over it. I painted Batman gloves blue and Superman boots to match the chemsuit.

Have I mentioned yet that I HATE the new PhotoSUCK-IT! Now the IMG link adds the URL link so that if you click a picture it doesn't make it larger, instead it forces you to their damned site. Frack that ship!

I need to go play with myself for a while now. I mean, work on something for my own collection...

FAMCON!

I have been invited to have a booth and do a demo at Famcon at Frank N Son on May 25th. I thought it over, and it think I'm going to do it. I have no idea what I'll be painting at the show. It will be hard for me to concentrate properly on painting with all the meet and greet I hope to enjoy, but I'll work on something.

Now I would like to invite everybody and anybody I've done paint work for to bring their figures to my booth/table to display for all the fans that show up. Marf, Shortround, I'm looking at you... I will also be bringing some of my own pieces to show, including the production versions of stuff I've done for Sideshow in the past.

And since I have a small truck load of Trevor's Walters in my possession at the moment, I plan to do a step by step display of my paint process using each head as a paint step. It's a good chance for some aspiring artists to glean some paint tricks until I finally make a How To Video.

What do you guys think?

Nathan, have you tried imageshack? I tried photobucket a while ago and had so many issues, imageshack has worked much better.

Now These look very impressive built up from a viewing distance The Close up shots showed more of the roughness of the sculpt - which is a real shame.

But put together fully are simply breathtaking , you done a great job with what you had to play with nathan !!

hope you re-coincider painting another haired version down the road like Wake as already mentioned, this is the only jessie avalible at the moment.

and our walts wont be complete without him

They just changed that part recently and it sucks!

I like everything about the new PB but IDK why they changed this with routing you to the page . It wasn't doing that when they first revamped the site; this just started within the last few days
