No pot of gold, but I happened to look at my 1/5 Sano statue, and realized the hoses that come off from his jaw are perfect. Then I compared them to some small coiled springs I had from an old Tsukuda RoboCop 3 model kit, and realized further that if I streteched them a bit and somehow filled the empty space inside them, I'd be set. Doing it now.

How about springs? Could you make a mold of one or paint an actual one? They make very small springs for many applications that I'm sure you might be able to find to fit.

Here ya go. Look on HLJ's site for the different exterior dimensions. Would something like this work for you?

Thanks, Artoo. That is what I decided to go ahead and use. Doing exactly that. I happened to have some that at first I thought weren't good enough, but turns out they are working.:hi5:

What you get with the kit.

Added sculpted detail. My first attempt at the lenses.

Lenses revisited. (I didn't paint this head. I just enhanced the flesh areas a bit)

More work in progress on the 1/3 Sano Big Chap bust custom tongue.

I wasn't happy with how the upper 'jaw' stuck out so far. It needed to be back farther to give it an underbite, so I broke it off, ground it down and remounted it. I've also added the springs and built up the lower jaw a bit.
