I would just like to have a fake "engagement" party to bring in the gifts.

I don't mind helping but it does kind of suck to see someone who was hoping to make a buck off of it. I hope you get one though.
Wow, I didn't realise Josh gave his SIM for retail or alittle over? Very generious of him.
josh didn't intend to order sim, so i asked him to order one for me at sdcc and paid him for his time and trouble. josh is a stand up guy, no matter what rory says about him.
Well, good luck if anyone ever helps you with retail again.
As for the poll, did you take into account the mint working SIM replacements on ebay? theres 3 on there right now. Though..They could be members on this forum who voted? Whats sorta shocking is that there are so few on there.

Just in case anyone really cares...
I like Josh. He seems pretty cool. He is firm in what he believes and I respect that. :maul
I don't know what you are talking about, but let's hope it doesn't come to that. I was guaranteed a replacement SIM before I took the step to destroy the flawed one and send them the pictures. I still don't have it though. I have a number, but no news since. If it's true that the first replacements are some kind of a 'kid bash', I may consider myself lucky to have waited longer before I'd taken the step to destroy my first SIM. IF I get a mint and working replacement that is...
Btw, any other European SIM busters with news on their replacement?

That's clear! If it comes to that, it wouldn't be very positive for the company's image. What I'm talking about is, if this round of replacements (or 80% of them), all have to be replaced a second time, management for SS will step in, cut their losses, return your $300, send you $25 gift card and be done with the situation. They're trying their best to keep the customers happy at this point in time, but they can't keep continuing to make replacement SIMS and keep EVERYONE happy forever. I'm not defending them, just saying eventually the bottom line (i.e. $$$) will rule over satisfied customer aspect. It's not at that point yet, but if replacements continue to be asked to be replaced again, it may come to that. It's just business.
a heads up regarding sim. i have some good news and some encouraging news.
first, the good news. i went to the friend of a friend's house because he got his sim today. he said he would sell it to me for $700 and i was considering this for another board member, because i just couldn't go $700. when we get to this guy's house, he's steaming mad. he's ranting about how this replacement was also messed up and he was over it. the light up feature didn't work. so he asks me if i want to buy it for $350. i immediately freak. the statue looked great and so did the base. so immediately started thinking repaint to a red/gold color. but i also thought from reading another post that the batteries may be dead. i asked him did he put new ones in and he says no. he puts in new ones and the im lights up perfect. so the encouraging news is check or replace your batteries if yours isn't lighting up. it just may work. so now we're back to $700. so i notice this guy has alot of 12" war figures. he also has a sse dracula and phantom. so i ask him if he would take a partial trade. i wind up giving him duplicates of figures i had including a sse wolfman, sse frankenstein, a bride of frankenstein and bof monster and a mask of the red death and a $350 payment next week. i now own a SIM!!!!!! well, next week when i make a payment anyway!!!!
lol...he was going to sell it to you for 350...and not try changing the battieres first?...what were you guys smoking in that room?...toner cloth?
Returned my replacement yesterday. I did do everything, swabbed the contacts, replaced the batteries, still no lights. The good news is SSC said it can be Replaced. Fingers crossed.
