I think fully sculpted makes a big difference for GL related characters. I wouldn't want Hal or Sinestro with cloth outfits.

I actually liked DC Direct Museum Green Lantern that has a cloth outfit over Sideshows.
Go figure.

I think there's ways to add a cloth element to the figure, not necessarily covering the entire sculpt, that would make it look better than the original version.

I agree. Their costumes are a construct of their respective rings. It makes no sense for ANY Lantern to have cloth elements
