Here's my fleet footed Achilles, the Man-killer:

I'd always toyed with the idea of owning one of these "bootleg" figures, but at the time I first saw them they looked somewhat "crude" and toyish.
Fast forward a couple of years and I got the bitten by the Leonidas bug and after getting the Spartan King my interest in the son of Peleus was renewed.
I hunted ebay and only found the figures sold by Ironcrosshunter, but it was beyond my price range.
Later on I missed on a great opportunity from a fellow board member, but finally got a sweet deal from a collector from around here.

When I first got the figure I was a bit intrigued by its provenance and started researching a bit. To make a long story short, I found out (belatedly) that Ironcrosshunter's figures seem to be recasts of the bootleg. The head sculpt looks different, but the rest looks like a recast.

At any rate, I wasn't very happy with the paint apps and the body it came with, so I asked my friend Fabio to do the usual painting chores and I swapped the body with an Evo.

This is the result.
I hope you guys enjoy.

The Evo body works very well IMHO, although it is a bit less bulky than Brad Pitt was in the movie. It doesn't bother me much though. Posing is not as good as the original body it came with, but I think it must be better than one of the regular rubber covered bodies.
I still might keep an eye out for a Perseus body though, it seems the best option in terms of muscle mass, looks and articulation.

But for now, I'm pretty happy with how Achilles turned out.

The entire armour and shield were repainted, the boots were swapped with Toy City's Vasily's boots (weathered), the crest on the helmet was replaced using a make-up brush, the body was given first a dull-coat, then weathered, then given a bit of a gloss coating. The head sculpt had to be retouched as the paint was scratched when taking off the helmet. Fabio also repainted the eyebrows and lips.
The shield got a pleather band.

All comments and critique welcome.

Looks fantastic. And yeah, the only comment I was going to make was regarding the body, but it looks like you have that covered.
