The Year of the Snake DLC is great. I really enjoyed playing as a real cop. So much easier to get cars when all you gotta do is just wave your badge XD

'Sleeping Dogs Universe' Sequel Triad Wars in Development

United Front Games, developer of the wonderful Sleeping Dogs, has confirmed development of some sort of sequel "based in the Sleeping Dogs universe."

The developer addressed rumors of a trademark registration for Triad Wars, which is "something we've wanted to do for ages." Square-Enix will publish the follow up, which we'll learn more about in 2014.

Sleeping Dogs sold nearly 2 million copies, which the publisher quantified as a failure.

It really is a tragedy that Sleeping Dogs didn't sell better, as it certainly deserved to. Great story, great gameplay, great game.

If this is true I would be very tempted to pick this up on PS4. I loved this game. It was def a sleeper on last gen.

It really did have one of the best, most coherent storylines in a GTA style game. I cared about Wei Shen, and everything that happened to him. I wanted revenge on certain people as much as he did.

24Herbs were the guys I picked up from this game. I wish this had got the press that Saints Row did. I would love to see the next part of this story on next gen with a bigger true to life map of Hong Kong. Plus I need to know what happens between Wei and Broken Nose Jiang. She knows he's a cop, but she also owes him for her new position as the head of the Triad. I've talked myself into rebuying this if it rereleases.

Seconded. Their songs were some of my favourites in the game. There were times where I wait in the car and wouldn't start a mission 'til the song had finished.

I really hope that we get more details on Triad Wars soon.

Hopefully being given away as one of Xbox Live Gold's free games a while ago got this game a lot more exposure and a much larger fanbase. Such a great game, deserved to do far better than it did.

Best GTA style game of last generation in my opinion.
