yeah i just read it to, and what do they put in its place, a re-run of Vampire diaries....why wouldn't they run the last ep of smallville that aired before the winter break started....makes no sense!

i had a rough week too, actually still at work and was getting all excited to leave so i could catch Smallvilles return tonight and now this!!

man i'm bummed

Actually it makes perfect sense. New episodes of Vampire Diaries and whatever were up against Idol last night. They wanted people that might have missed it to have another chance at VD. Has nothing to do with Smallville - a series ending it's run, and everything to do with VD which is just getting it's legs and finding an audience.

So they announced Henry Cavill as the new Superman in the Zack Snyder reboot today. Wouldn't it be hilarious if they said that the villain in the movie will be Zod and that they cast Callum Blue, Henry's co-star on "The Tudors."
I mean, he was already Zod on Smallville.

for that reason Blue is about the ONLY actor that definitely won't be cast as Zod. Well also Terence Stamp and Michael Rosenbaum are probably out of the running too.

Well, how did everyone enjoy The Matrix? Man, that was absolutely shameless. I certainly hope the remainder of this final season will be a little more creative.

A good mind f&*k ep with some really big moments. great action and the one scene i really enjoyed

This was the first episode in some time where I had to resist turning the channel. When they did the roof jump, I rolled my eyes but hung in there. When the ineveitable kung-fu scene happened, and Chloe stops the knife, I actually yelled out loud to the tv "Are you f'ing kidding me?!" If that multiple Agent Chloes scene had happened earlier than it did, they would've lost me.

Seriously, that was just insulting.

I normally try to stay positive here, but this was one of the worst of the season in my opinion. Part of it had to do with the fact that I waited so long for this, and was really let down. After seeing the "Luthor" episode with the return of Lionel, this had BIG shoes to fill, but didn't come close in my opinion. For starters, this episode took WAY too many ideas from the pages of the Matrix. I liked the initial concept of the episode at first, until Chloe's avatar came into play. Then, I started to really feel disappointed because of the whole Matrix vibe.

And one more rant: Where is Darkseid in all of this? Not even a simple mention or a "Hey, I'm still here....carry on." The VRA is stealing the title of this season's "Big Bad," when all this time I was under the impression that it was Darkseid's "hour of power." Now, you could say that ultimately the VRA is part of Darkseid's devious plan, but I'm not going to let it go that easy. I want to see more teasing like we did in the season premiere, something that says "I'm just getting warmed up."

Again, just my opinion. I know some of you enjoyed it and ultimately, we got the plot rolling again, so I can't complain too much more.

In light of all of this, I am glad to hear/see that Chloe is back. I really do miss her character in the show. She's been there since Day 1, and am happy to see her back to hopefully finish a majority of what's left.

On another positive note, did you see the preview for next week?!?! Lex is starting to grow up, and now that Daddy Lionel is back....

It wasn't even a Matrix vibe, they flat out stole from The Matrix. That's what was so insulting about this episode for me, they didn't even try to to mask it. I haven't been that pissed at the show since the gum episode.

And I agree, we're seeing far too little of Darkseid and crew. Personally, I'm worn out with this VRA stuff.
