Just cancelled this in a big purge of orders, trying to save some money. The Snow Troll is just too fringe for my taste.
They had a free Snow Troll figurine at Best Buy if you bought the War in the North video game. Similar pose (holding dwarf) but nowhere near the quality.

still no ES, screw it. I just cancelled more than half of my sideshow preorders. Only essential pieces left.
going to focus on attakus and other smaller studios like arh instead, much higher quality and less stress worrying about the horrible paints.
I am ready to cancel this one as well. No edition size has been listed and it is almost going on four months. I can pick this up on the after market since they have not made a determination on what they would like to do.
No benefit to buy direct if they do not give you and edition size this late in the game.

That's where you are totally wrong. SS has great CS, a great return policy, and RP if you keep the order.
I do agree with buying because you like it not just because of the ES. However, ES is important because moderate/low ES allow for the line to sustain desirability.
Once more what is the deal with the ES if you like the item?
Unless you are going to resell it then the number might mean something, for me I could care less if the ES was 20 or 2000, if I like it I will buy it...
This Troll statue is plain and simple cool and a much desired piece for us SSW collectors who lost out on the original piece....
Another thing is this statue is coming from a video game story. Not trying to start a semantic argument, but for some people it will matter if it is story related or made-up for a video game.
I know there's talk of snow trolls in other Tolkien writings, but it's all in how the collector wants to focus his/her theme.

The only reason that I buy direct is because of the ones that sell out super quick and then cost a ton on the bay.
Customer service is prompt and they are willing to work with you. When it comes to statue problems .....just fair.
Example: I had the Hulk COM EX on Flex. When it was time to ship, they emailed me that they cancelled the order because the last ones on the shelf were damaged.
I had to go after market and pay $125 + just for a Regular. They only comped me like $40. I could not obtain the EX because that was like and extra $175 at time.
I agree with what you have to say about the ES. Makes collecting a bit more interesting as well.
