Yeah, very cool that it came in the same price. I will say that having been playing the game this week I cannot wait to add this badass creature to the collection.

Just cancelled this in a big purge of orders, trying to save some money. The Snow Troll is just too fringe for my taste.

I've been toying with the idea of cancelling as well. It's not that I have a ton on order, just that I don't know how this will fit into the statue series. Plus with Boromir and the Ringwraith being taller, I think it will look too far out of scale.

Thats funny cause I wanted this guy so bad and never ordered him due to financial reasons as well with so much coming up. I got the Ring Wraith on order and now Im starting to think I might want this guy as well, but still on the fence just because I myself am trying to save money.

I'm definitely keeping this guy on order and can't wait to get him. However, I might be canceling some of the upcoming maquettes (Gimli Ex, Boromir Ex). I just don't want to be crying poor when it's time to start paying for the RWOS PF (whenever that is). I will be keeping the Witch-King maquette though.

Getting back to the Snow Troll, I'm still very curious about the ES as well. Maybe SS is waiting to see how successful War In The North is before making a decision.

They had a free Snow Troll figurine at Best Buy if you bought the War in the North video game. Similar pose (holding dwarf) but nowhere near the quality.

I'd like to get that if I could. I really loving this game so much. Its just really awesome.

No way in hell I'm canceling this item. First off as I said its badass and will look great, I used RP and getting it for $175, and it doesn't ship until Q2 of next year (April-June).

But wouldn't you be losing a fair bit of money due to the NRDs? In any case, this is not due to ship for a long while.

still no ES, screw it. I just cancelled more than half of my sideshow preorders. Only essential pieces left.

going to focus on attakus and other smaller studios like arh instead, much higher quality and less stress worrying about the horrible paints.

I am ready to cancel this one as well. No edition size has been listed and it is almost going on four months. I can pick this up on the after market since they have not made a determination on what they would like to do.

No benefit to buy direct if they do not give you and edition size this late in the game.

Once more what is the deal with the ES if you like the item? :dunno

Unless you are going to resell it then the number might mean something, for me I could care less if the ES was 20 or 2000, if I like it I will buy it... :clap

This Troll statue is plain and simple cool and a much desired piece for us SSW collectors who lost out on the original piece....

That's where you are totally wrong. SS has great CS, a great return policy, and RP if you keep the order.

I do agree with buying because you like it not just because of the ES. However, ES is important because moderate/low ES allow for the line to sustain desirability.

Another thing is this statue is coming from a video game story. Not trying to start a semantic argument, but for some people it will matter if it is story related or made-up for a video game.

I know there's talk of snow trolls in other Tolkien writings, but it's all in how the collector wants to focus his/her theme.

The only reason that I buy direct is because of the ones that sell out super quick and then cost a ton on the bay.

Customer service is prompt and they are willing to work with you. When it comes to statue problems .....just fair.

Example: I had the Hulk COM EX on Flex. When it was time to ship, they emailed me that they cancelled the order because the last ones on the shelf were damaged.

I had to go after market and pay $125 + just for a Regular. They only comped me like $40. I could not obtain the EX because that was like and extra $175 at time.

I agree with what you have to say about the ES. Makes collecting a bit more interesting as well.

I agree with everything you said. I must admit that I was on the losing stick of some statues and had to pay a premium on the bay. I was hoping to make up some lost ground on this one. ES not released, means I would not make anything on the back end if decided to sell it.

I hear what you are saying.

I really like this statue. Video game or not, it looks good. As you mentioned, I like the opportunity to have shot at this one since the first it way out of sight right now.

Right that's a factor as well.

Just fair? They email you to let you know that there is an issue with the remaining stock and you want them to ship you a broken statue? I don't get that at all. That's damn good CS work right there because they cared enough to NOT ship you a broken piece. In which you might have complained a lot that you got sent a broken piece.
