Who has the better voice actor?

What was he supposed to sound like as he got older? You always say how bad he's in PW and he sounds like a robot... and I'll agree with that, only when you're picking your suit for the mission... since for whatever reason they added some underlining sound effect in his voice for some reason. I only hear it there.

I don't think his voice should have changed that much, he went from sounding like cool badass soldier (MGS1) to a cancer patient.

Maybe I'm in the same boat as Bane, I probably outgrew his voice acting. It just sounds way too forced now and really unnatural to me.

I think the MGS2 voice should of been the same as MGS3, but MGS3 doesn't bother me at all. I haven't played MPO in so many years, so I don't have a good memory of it. As for MGS4, I think it sounded how it should. He just sounded like an old smoker.

The one thing I can appreciate from Hayter, is that he changed his voice to evolve the character, compared to Akio Otsuka who kept his the same in the Japanese voice overs :lol. Of course, that's not to diss on Otsuka, the man does some incredible work.

By the way, it's funny how some DC folks hijacked the poll and voted for the Batman option :lol.

But Hayter had to get replaced, since he doesn't have a face for facial acting...

Kiefer's expressions are just plain creepy at times. Hayter would've been up for facial captures, voice overs, hell, he'd even sacrifice a paycheck to ensure the fans get want they want.

I think that comment was Kojima just trying to be professional. If this isn't all a ruse, then I think the reason Hayter isn't back is because he and Kojipro had some kind of beef. Did you you guys see the interview he did with Yongyea? He pretty much saids that Kojima can go **** himself :lol

Yeah, there's no love lost between the two of them at this point. We could say the same thing about Kojima and Konami, too. I mean, that's one abrupt hit of "karma" if I've ever seen one :rotfl.

I think Hayter was at his peak during MGS2 and 3, MGS1 was marred by the 'studio' the cast had to work so you can't really judge...though I find an odd charm in how he sounds in 1. I didn't find anything really hammy...though in MGS3 I think he had some moments but they seemed intentional. MGS 3 was goofy at times due to the setting, and it didn't mind.
I disagree, Conroy's voice is just as recognizable and unique to me as Hayter's, they're both on equal footing on that imo.
This I agree with too.

Because he can't properly convery a man in his 40s despite being in his 40s...

They should just release a book detailing the whole fallout. It would probably make for a great read :lol
