That's why I can't help but still think this is inevitably going to get delayed. Not having a single trailer 4 months out is kind of crazy for a Star Wars movie. We're usually expecting a second trailer around this time having had the first 8 months before that. Between the director changes and multiple reshoots and Fox being bought by Disney, and Infinity War opening so close to this, everything points to delaying this to December. I WANT it to come out this May, but if Rouge One proved anything, allowing plenty of time for reshoots can not only save a film, but vastly improve it. If they are rushing to meet that May release date, the film will probably suffer for it.
Sure, a delay would be rough on the toy and other merchandising markets, but I don't think its necessarily a bad thing to give this film a long shelf life. Just mix in some more non-Solo items and things will be like they always are between films.
