I dont even care about TLJ anymore i just want pacific rim 2 to FAIL. I dont even care what happens to Kennedy or Rose or these toys. I really dont care because Pacfic rim 2 was so awful it took all my hatred away LOL

EDIT: Oh, wait.

TLJ was disappointing and boring, but wasn't as horrible and lazy and just god awful as Pacific rim 2. at least the CGI in TLJ was good and at least Rey and Finn and Poe weren't trashed like Pacific Rim trash its characters.
Im still no fan of TLJ but at least TLJ didnt leave me with a feeling of pure anger and hatred and left me feeling robbed of my time and money.

yeah I was upset that the story in TLJ was messy and i didnt like what they did to luke, but at least it wasn't as trashy as Pacific rim 2, because if Pacific rim 2 was guilty of something, it is of being trashy and trashing the original

I haven't seen PR2 yet. Most of the reviews from people I trust are, at worst, it went a bit BayFormer in both characterization and aesthetic.

I haven't seen PR2 yet. Most of the reviews from people I trust are, at worst, it went a bit BayFormer in both characterization and aesthetic.

Pacific rim 1 is one of my all time favorite movies. it was amazing. great visuals, amazing effects. amazing fights, great suspense. i always have a great time watching it. i love the characters, i love the fights, i love the atmosphere of that world.

Pacific rim 2 feels like those Scifi Channel cheap rip offs. lazy, cheap, ugly looking, it destroys everything good about the first one, ruins the plot of the first one, the suits are hideous, the cgi looks bad, the robots are cheesy, what a horrible movie.

Yeah I dont hate TLJ anymore. I dont hate Rian anymore. all my hate goes to Boyega and pacific crap 2 for destroying one of my favorite movies ever

Writer, director - fair game. Actors gotta work. They just act what’s given (if they’re professional) and then get saddled with promoting the final product.

As if toy purchases has anything to do with a movies quality or a character not being popular.

I love how the TLJ/Kennedy haters are so desperate that they always use this reason to prove how bad the ST are.

Isn't the lack of TPM toys sales often cited as more proof of its poor quality?
At any rate, I think this movie is in trouble. I don't really see that much hype for it. If memory serves, there was a lot more excitement leading up to RO.
I'm pretty sure critics will hail it, though...
We'll see when it opens.

Maybe they just realize releasing toys is not the best way to market these types of films anymore.

I think they should release a killer video game 6 months before the movie where you can "play" through the lead-up story to where the movie picks up. Then after the film, an expansion pack is released so you can play the movie set-pieces.


It's pretty clear marketing has no idea what to do anymore. They just keep making crazy posters over and over again, and dropping a million commercials.
