I don't know. Han has always been a bit of a ***** with Leia. I mean look at when he got ******** about Leia and Luke in ROTJ. Homie only chilled cause he found out they were fam, not punching each others' time cards.

Bounty Hunters were looking for him and he still stuck around to help his friends.

I hope this movie will be the excuse for Hot Toys making new GOOD Chewie figure, I missed the ANH version back then and its so expansive now... TFA version just merrh.

But only till he found his signature flagship he was looking for 30+ years, which was one of the planets of which was the greatest battle (so Disney says) between the Empire and Rebel Alliance. To me Han Solo leaving his ship on a battlefield and claiming he never checked Jakku is like leaving your coffee on the top of the car after buying it only to drive away for work.

When did they say he left his ship on a battlefield? The movie says it was stolen from him by parties unknown and he searched for it.

I don't have a problem with him missing some places because The Universe.

None of his motivations made any sense. Clearly forced. "Leia doesn't want to see me." That's so stupid.

Not forced IMO. We only have one planet to window shop and divorce rates are sky high. An entire universe to explore when you were a desperate-circumstance couple to being with? Plausible divorcibility.

Not forced IMO. We only have one planet to window shop and divorce rates are sky high. An entire universe to explore when you were a desperate-circumstance couple to being with? Plausible divorcibility.

But going AWOL on your family and in the middle of fighting a war was in character for Han Solo? I really shouldnt have to explain this. "You're all clear kid."

This movie WISHES it had a GBU vibe.

If this movie is even only half as great as GBU it will a huge win for Kennedy.

Looked pretty good to me.....got my first Solo esqe feel from the lead in that cantina shot....

I think fill need to recognize that the swaggering Solo we all know has not developed yet. He’s becoming that guy in this film...so expect to see a Solo who really is unsure for some of this....maybe even a bit naive....at least I am hoping to see that.

They weren’t fighting a war. When TFA picks up Leia has a tiny task force investigating the First Order, which nobody else considers a threat. Han left before even that, and it’s implied it was mutual.

Even if youre right the war did start and he stayed gone. Maz called him out for it. And it wasn't mutual. Liea merely continued doing what she doing. Han did not. You're reaching.

Hate to say it, but I remain unconvinced by both Ehrenreich and Glover, from all I've seen so far neither one of them really convinces me they truly are younger versions of the Han Solo and Lando Calrissian characters, and for this film to work for me I need to buy them as these characters. But right now Ehrenreich just doesn't appear to have the required roguish charm and wiseass in-over-his-head charisma of Solo, and Glover seems to entirely lack the suave cool affability and slick intellect of Lando.

Maybe they'll surprise me, and I really hope that they do, but both pieces of casting just seem off to me, performance wise, at the moment. I can suspend disbelief looks wise, but if I don't believe in the character up on the screen, then that's a hurdle too high. Most everything else around them looks fun enough, but if those two characters don't really work I'll have a tough time enjoying anything else in the film.

Guess we'll all find out in a few more weeks...
