Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Yes I was starting to wonder where babies came from in a galaxy far far away. Anakin really put his ***** in Padme? Did he even have a *****?

Anakin or Darth Vader?

That's a good question, I wonder if Jedi are eunuchs.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

See? Its confusing, especially for kids.

Now we're supposed to understand "pansexual"... when we don't even have basic sex as a starting point.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

didnt they Explicitly imply that anakins mom was abused by the Tusken Raiders when she was kidnapped?
the whole reason he murdered even the women and children?

those Tusken Raiders ran a train on her no?

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

It's interesting that it's Lando.

Out of all the characters you'd think it would be Han and Chewy, I mean Han left his wife for a life with him.

All those lonely cold nights aboard the Falcon in hyperspace......

So quiet, Chewy's fur so warm.....

It only makes sense.

They had her tied up same style as Luke pictured above, this franchise makes me sick.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Round these parts no one is going to the movies currently.

This is Finals week for high schools, and the colleges went home last week....

Not sure why they released it now, but I suppose memorial day weekend will show tickets sale increase.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I just saw it and I loved it.

Glad you liked it. Difference of opinion is good.

I know CERTAIN members who want to call out "SJWs ruining my Star Wars!" will look for all the things they hated about Disney trying to treat everybody no matter their sexual orientation or gender with equal respect will hate it.

The so-called "agenda" didn't bother me in TLJ but it just felt forced in Solo. And Lando feeling so strongly about a droid just didn't jive with how he appeared in ESB.

I don't think critics have a problem with equality, just with it being unnecessarily inserted into movies and shoved down people's throats.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Its interesting that someone can shove their ideas down people's throats no problem but they can't shove their private parts down anyone's throat without a lawsuit.

Think about it.

Think about it.

You can shove anything down anyone's throat as long as it consented, on film, and they get a paycheck. I'm talking about porn but it also applies to Star Wars now.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I didn't see that. Show it to me.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

By implication, every other movie that doesn't force SJW propaganda isn't treating "everybody no matter their sexual orientation or gender with equal respect."

No, what I was saying is that Disney is attempting to put everybody on an equal playing field, which some people read as a personal attack on themselves because they are very insecure.

How does a movie solve those problems? It points them out but it doesn't solve them.

Some are insecure, some just think it gets in the way of the story.

Don't get me wrong, the issue of droid rights is interesting and worth exploring, just not in a Solo and Lando film (IMHO).

And the "pansexual" stuff is just extraneous noise that wasn't even alluded to in the film.

It doesn't solve them. By including issues it points out they exist like art can do. It also makes people aware of issues they never thought of because they were born a certain way that they never had to think about issues that do not affect them.

Right, so how does that put everyone on an even playing field if it's only pointing out how uneven it is?

That's Zach Levi talking. Maybe it's just because it gets in the way of the story?

I didn't even know who that was so saying I was quoting him is presumptuous.

I don't know why an equality them can't be in a Han and Chewie movie. And in my opinion Lando just really cared for the droid. It wasn't sexual, he just cared for her which she read as attraction because she is not used to that sort of behavior from a human.

there cant be any relationship with lando that isnt sexual.
hes too sexy and sensual to not have even a little bit sexual relationship with every person he meets.

there was even a tiny sexual tension with him and darth vader.
