Han Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Another Star Wars movie! Another all new ensemble cast posing in one of the sets for the 5th time! I can't wait to see how Han Solo became Han Solo. Or how he won the MF off of new Lando. Or how the MF made the kessel run in 12 parsecs. I hope they show the scene where he gets docked by the Empire and has to drop his cargo for Jabba. I'm so excited! I recall the Millenium Falcon and Chewbacca! And hey, there's Woody! New guy that's Han is going to be okay after all, look at that smile XD!!! I can't wait for the Hasbro figures and Hot Toys dolls! I'm going to buy them all! I hope this means Hot Toys actually makes the 1/6 cockpit!

Anyone know when I'll be able to preorder the advance tickets?!

Ah the other twin has arrived just in time for his bashing of a film no one has seen!

Aren't you and Clown due back at the BvsS thread? Or maybe Suicide Squad? I am sure there are some finely detailed nuances of those stellar films that need intricate discussion.....

Looking forward to it- just to see how they handle it and IF he copies Ford too much...
but hey I thought Rogue One was garbage right up until I saw it.....it's very very good!

Aren't you and Clown due back at the BvsS thread? Or maybe Suicide Squad? I am sure there are some finely detailed nuances of those stellar films that need intricate discussion.....

Just because he's in the Falcon, it doesn't magically transform him into Ford.

He looks like a completely different person...because he is. Fact.

If you really believe he looks like Ford, that's just wishful thinking or your fandom taking over.

Believe what you want.

I don't think anyone is saying you're right or you're wrong. It's a matter of opinion.

It's just you tend to naysay everything and it's pretty predictable. But you have a right to be predictable, so by all means, continue.

This one movie a year thing sucks. Disney should release them all at once like Netflix shows. I want to watch The Last Jedi, Han Solo, Episode 9, Boba Fett, Young Cassian movie, etc., *now.*

Ehhh... He doesn't look like Solo, but appearance is only part of it, if his acting is spot on, I can overcome the looks.

Still, I worry about this movie, don't want it to over-explain Han and remove the charm in the mystery.

That being said, I will likely be there opening weekend, dragging my Wife and kids.

Good acting and a good movie can overcome likeness... look how Craig convinced us a blonde Bond could work.

This looks really nice. I was worried but i like what i see. Emilia is a cutie.
Feels like an old pic, i like that. Has a retro feel. I hope the movie does that

Spectre was such a snore I fear Craig's Bond is over for me. Having said that I didn't like QoS as I recall and Skyfall was a strong comeback so....

Agreed. I only watched the first 30 mins of Spectre and stopped because of how bored I was. Skyfall was the best Craig Bond movie.

I think this movie definitely has promise but it has a lot riding on the actors portrayal and the story line. If either is off in any way, the nerdz will set phasers to kill.

Never fear -- Craig's done, thank god. I like Craig, but his movies mostly sucked. They just weren't what Bond should be. They were Nolanized; or Bournian'd.

I hope its time again for a Bond movie that is exciting, sexy and fun, and most importantly entertaining.



Veering back on track, nothing really bothers me so far about the Han Solo movie except Emilia Clark. I fear a wannabe Leia style bickering romance. They could at least have given Han a blonde or red head so it feels different.

Ooops -- there's that bad word again. Different.

I agree. In this new diversity driven SW I'm a bit shocked that Disney has cast three white British brunettes in a row now.
