I have to agree with Evilface about that -- but my decision is based on a wee child's perception: Magnum Force had 'bad cops' dressed in cool motorcycle gear. They blew away chichis in a pool in the beginning. And Callahan's corrupt chief got blown up in his car.

But at my age now, the first Dirty Harry is a far better crafted movie. Better villain. Best line at end too. That sniveling scene in the stadium alone is worth the price of admission.

Siegel's original is a 10/10. While Friedkin was making the first truly great Police Procedural in NYC, Siegel was crafting a legendary neo-western in Cali.
