Yep. This took the concept of Origin Stories to absurd lengths. They made a list of Solo factoids from the OT, and attempted to account for the beginning of every minute detail except for the only one relevant to the plot: How did Han become so self-absorbed? Instead, we see him resist being self-absorbed in the face of ridiculous, on the nose dialogue telling him not to trust anyone and be selfish.
TLJ was a mess, while Solo is hacky, overly structured pandering. It's as if Solo was written by a marketing team, as opposed to actual writers.

Saw a matinee showing today and I really liked it. It wasn't perfect and it was slow at times but overall a fun movie.
8/10 from me.

That was my favorite reference.
I had to explain it to my buddy who is a huge SW fane but not a gamer.
I thought THE cameo was cool but I'm a 'toon fan. And much less forced than Walrussman going HEY STAR WARS FANS MEMBA ME AND THIS DUDE????!!!! in Rogue One.

The Solo cameo is some really forced **** lol
I really think it kills the only good part of that respective movie.

I guess if you're into the storyline of the Filoni series it's different. I've been at peace with that guy being back on the field for quite a while and I like this new SW gumbo.
I actually like it when Panda Boba Fett photobombs Rogue One but it's simultaneously the worst kind of fan service IMO.
I can let the two ideas rest comfortably next to each other in my super zen mind.

I think a lot of people just use the RT audience scores to talk **** between faps and feel all vindicated about it. I'd guess every DisWars movie will go this way now that they've found the weakness in the Death Star.
But I don't have a youtube video to back that up so we'll never know for sure.

i thought that word was banned? interesting.

Something I mentioned previously is LFL seems to have given up on giving us truly exotic-looking planets. They're just going over the same old foresty/beachy/muddy settings.
Seeing that garbage-land in BR 2049 reminded me what should be possible.
On a separate note, did anyone else get a Mad Max vibe from Enfys Nest's marauders?
