Ah, Yosemite, one of my favorite places on Earth. I've been there twice; last time (before kids) we hiked up to one of the lower falls and it was a really amazing experience. Can't wait to get there again when my daughter is a little older.​

Last time I knew I thought this was a community where we respect any and all members. This thread was designed to show off something that might be more precious to some than polystone, ABS or any other type of statue. To make a post saying I don't like kids/hate kids/think they smell like P1tu!/are annoying, is beyond disrespectful. You can have your own opinion. I'm not saying you can't. But, make your own dislike/hate thread and stay the h3ll out of this one. Or what would have been easiest is to just hold your frickin tounge. Some of you people seriously make me want to puke.

That's a one sided view. Is it any more annoying then those w/o kids or who don't want kids to have to listen to comments about how we are "missing out" and how "sad it is"??

I know I have said I don't like kids in this thread and i see nothing wrong with it. When I say i don't like them I mean I don't like or want them for ME. It's in no way putting down someone elses family or saying how they should feel yet ihave had to hear that i am "missing out". I don't agree and I have a right to voice my feelings on what's right for ME.

I am not saying what is or isn't right for anyone else, but others seem to know what's right for those of us that don't want kids.

Me too, I thought this was a community that respected the opinions of others....and my opinion is that I don't like kids. GASP!! The horror! So to make a post saying that I shouldn't post my opinions is pretty disrespectful to me.

TO say they smell like P!Tu is obviously a joke because I think they smell worse than him.

You make me want to puke by trying to censor the natural flow of discussion in this thread. Just because you think a kid is precious doesn't mean that I do and threads are made for discussing and that is just the way this thread went. I don't stop you from posting in certain threads. People are so freakin sensitive about children almost to the point that they become irrational.

Usually when discussing or showing pics of kids, parents don't like negativity surrounding it all.

That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Find the bright side to the negative comments and just roll with it. It isn't like I said anyone's kid was ugly.

I find comments where people saying they don't want to have kids pretty positive myself because you don't see or hear many people really standing up for that choice or voicing it usually.

Tis true. It's like some people feel that people that don't want children are putting down their life's purpose. This is where all the notions of people calling those that don't want children selfish. Partly because it is an innate and subconscious reflex to want to propagate your own species and to make your child better than you are.

Evolutionarily speaking, having children is the natural thing to do. We must pass on our genes to the next generation and keep propagating. Some think to have children is the mandatory and natural thing to do in life. Well, I think we can all agree that our species stopped being natural a long time ago. We are much past the stage of being a species that reacts purely by instinct. We all have a choice.

I could care less whether people want kids or not.. As a matter of fact I think most people should'nt becasue they can't handle responsibility..

I just think its lame to have a stupid debate on a thread to the point that you cant find any photo's (point of the thread) because you have to sift through 10 pages of BS.

This thread is useless at this point.. I think Ive seen like 2 photos..

At this point I wont be posting any photos of my kid in this dumb thread.

I don't know why you have to write some much when you post. You could summarize everything by hitting reply and typing:

kids are dirty, smelly, sticky and leave grossness everywhere they go. some are more tolerant than others when it comes to the wake of destruction they leave. but i'm very glad people have the good sense to realize when kids are 'not' for them. i prefer that thought than young mothers spitting out one baby after another to tax an already failing welfare system. hardly anybody in today's world actually planned to have a baby and then conceived one. but what happens afterward means alot. have another baby after you didn't want a first? or now take precautions NOT to make the same mistake. i know this girl in her mid 20s that has 5 kids and has had 6 abortions. CLOSE YOUR LEGS or use birth control!

That's right, only the side YOU agree with has the right to say what it wants to shove it's views on to the other side. We should all just shut up so we can be told that we are "sad and pathetic for missing out".

Anytime you post something in a public forum you have to be ready for opposing views to be posted as well. if you can't handle that then perhaps you should not be posting on a message board.

Most of us are adults here and should be able to handle that. The "don't like kids side" isn't the side that got it's panties all in a bunch first here.

I don't have a problem with anyone here and still don't after this thread, but it does seem funny to me that no one has a problem with other threads that are derailed with all that "hiyoo" crap, but don't DARE to saying something negative about how children fit or don't fit into YOUR life because the people with kids will assume you mean their kids should be thrown into the sarlacc pit ( sp ).

NO ONE here has insulted anyone elses family in a personal attack. people have stated how kids fit or don't fit into their OWN lives. If you want to take that as some personal attack on your kids then i am sorry, it's not.

Right, this posts pretty much sums up how irrational you are becoming. Why take this argument so personally? It's insulting to you that people don't want to have kids...that's actually pretty childish in and of itself. how ironic.

all discussion is natural on these boards. Even the show yourself thread has discussion but it seems that you are too much of a baby about this subject to understand- again, Ironic.
